The jedi prayer you gave my chipmunk makes sense now.
It doesn't take me to become a practising and learning christian or muslim that the respective religions didn't exist until after their founding figures/influences.
I'm unsure as to who the founding influence comes from. I will enquire.
I'm unsure as to who the founding influence comes from.
The jedi prayer you gave my chipmunk makes sense now.
Come on Brother, let's start out own religion based upon the Clans
People who say shit like that are also the scourge of this world.
Nah bruv, religion causes too many wars and fighting amoungst the barbarian middle eastern nations. Small minded religious people who take every word in the bible literally think things like slavery, killing homosexuals, and shunning non believers is right. There is no place for it in todays scientific world. This guy may think he is being clever but no religion should be able to assert their own rules over the property owners, if Tesco tells you to take off your hood or burka then you have to do it I say. All this man is doing is letting chavs get away with their hoods up.

The site being down is a great inconvinience to me. I feel it is my duty to defend my religion, that is all.
The teachings of Kerensky will guide us.
Bagsie Clan Wolf, you can have Ghost Bear.
And yet those teachings are down to individual interpretation. and christ can't you let Jedi's to become even semi mythical before spouting out a religion about it. They never existed, they're fictional, get over it, whilst trying to follow the ideals of film characters can be admirable, it's kind of pathetic to name yourself as if you are them. Naming yourself after a fictional set of characters is pretty nerdy, and no, Star Wars was created on the basis of George Lucas wanting to have a Flash Gordon/serial style adventure movie. Hell, I'm admit I'm nerdy to the point of obsessiveness about Warhammer 40K but you don't see me going around saying I'm a space Marine do you?
nerde [editline]09:02PM[/editline] I take off my cloak and jedi robe nope can not happen

If you don't know where it's from, use google. I'm a member of the Order of Kerensky, Wolf Sect, so there's every need to be assertive.
Bagsie Clan Wolf, you can have Ghost Bear.
Well naturally.
Hell, I knew where the religion i was in (former christian) came from when i was frigging 6 years old. If you don't know where it's from, use google.
My parent's are predominantley christian, as is the rest of my family. I joined the Jedi faith/order only last week.
Here's a tip then, know what you're defending before defending it
In 2005, a draft of the "racial and religious hatred bill" in the UK specifically excluded Jedi Knights from any protection, alongside Satanists, Scientologists, sexists, racists, and believers in animal or human sacrifice.[18] So nothing was wrong since tards that think that jedis are real aren't protected by the law.
Jedi teaching sounds nerdy and all, but it has many similarities to Taoism and Buddhism in it's belief.
Here's a tip then, know what you're defending before defending it
I am learning. It isn't easy studying for Jediism aswell as college. My knowledge is improving. However it is my first time in attempting to defend Jediism, and I was unsure of what I would be faced with. Consider this my trial, and I failed. I shall pursue to improve at a faster rate. Forgive me. [editline]09:13PM[/editline]
Jedi teaching sounds nerdy and all, but it has many similarities to Taoism and Buddhism in it's belief.
Jediism combines many different religions but most of all Buddhism, Taoism and Christianity. Well observed, my friend.
Jedi teaching sounds nerdy and all, but it has many similarities to Taoism and Buddhism in it's belief.
The principals it is based upon are good but calling it Jediism was a bad call.
If I were you I'd finish your studies of stuff that applies to the real world and then study a religion based on a film

Really, like I said before, it is a mix of Taoism,Buddhism, and now that I think about it, a bit of Hinduism. No doubt George Lucas got the Jedi's ideologies this way, but honestly this type of practice seems appealing.
If I were you I'd finish your studies of stuff that applies to the real world and then study a religion based on a film
Well if it combines major philosophies like Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity etc... why not follow it? To be honest this practice sounds very appealing but basing it on the Jedi was kind of foolish.
If I were you I'd finish your studies of stuff that applies to the real world and then study a religion based on a film
There is no need to mock me, it isn't worth it. Of course my studies of college are my priority, but my studies of my religion is my passion, somewhich which I will always pursue. The teachings give me a greater, wider outlook on life, an outlook on life that allows me inner peace, honesty, patience, self-defence (Aikido), and much more. It is my choice. I am not forcing it.
Yes, we are.
You're not a Jedi in the Star Wars sense. You're a Jedi in the I-dislike-the-old-religions-so-I'll-follow-some-New-Age-crap-in-the-misguided-belief-that-it-is-somehow-more-valid sense.
I said before it was good to aspire to some good ideals, but naming yourself after a fictional order is daft
Then if it was established before Jedi's were ivented, why didn't they call themselves something else and not Jedi.
I agree with you here, you just can't take them seriously if they call themselves Jedi, but combining the teachings of several of the world's greatest philosophies should be called something more fitting.
I worship a fictional man with a pipe and yet he's still more believable (and includes fewer calories) than 97.17% of all other rival brands of salvation.

I wandered into the site thinking it would be too much about Star-Wars, but I was wrong. The teachings, to me...actually make sense. The magnitude of inner harmony you gain from learning, meditating and so forth is beautiful and what makes Jediism so worth while. Although I train in self-discipline and martial arts, which is pretty intense and tiring, haha.
Then why call yourself a jedi then if it's so redundant.
It is a collective noun, which has simply grown upon us as the teachings are so similar to the ones portrayed in Star Wars.
