Besides, as far as I know he is only going to be helping with digital marketing campaigns. That isn't going to affect the product. However, it might make more contests available that might give us a chance to win free swag.

Um soda is sugar water. Humans are naturally wired to like sugar. People would drink the sugar water [I]without[/I] marketing. Marketing just gets the word that the sugar water exists out to more people.

I drink soda occasionally if I'm in the mood, but I certainly don't do it because of that super witty Dr. Pepper commercial I saw on ESPN the other day. People drink soda because they like the taste of it.
That said I agree this outrage over someone who is going to be managing a company is ridiculous. He isn't going to stick his dick in your Coke bottles guys.
