neither is really good for you.
I used to drink soda almost exclusively up until about six years ago. I felt groggy and terrible all day. started cutting down on soda and eventually stopped drinking it all together, drinking mostly water and only a couple of cups of coffee every day. now I feel a thousand times better and I'm also no longer a fat slob
Stop trying to blame Coca-Cola for your lack of self control. Exclusively drinking soda is your own fault, and it's possible to drink in moderation.

Uhh... I drink unhealthy amounts of soda and im somewhat skinny.
Coca Cola: $10 per can, can is empty.
Cola DLC: $5, fills the can with coke
Carbonation Pack: $5, makes the soda carbonated

Metabolism varies from person to person
so.. does this mean he will leave activision?

holy shit I wasn't blaming coca-cola for anything

Coke didn't make you a fat slob. Eating too much and not moving enough is what made you fat.
no shit. stop taking everything extremely literally just to start an argument

I have no problems with self-control. it was very easy for me to stop drinking soda once I realized how bad it was for me.
How the fuck is this piece of shit affecting FP drinking a tasty soda? Jesus christ FP overreacts, he's not the CEO, just a director.
holy shit I wasn't blaming coca-cola for anything
you guys are fucking annoying

nobody would like soda if it wasn't forced onto them by advertising execs.
Shifting the blame to them "forcing" it onto you.
This guy owns like half of the consumerist world now. Is he still the CEO for Activision? Like, can you be a CEO for more than one company?
Shifting the blame to them "forcing" it onto you.
I'll let somebody else explain the psychology of marketing to you because I don't feel like it right now

he's a director of coca-cola, not the CEO. OP screwed up the title
he's a director of coca-cola, not the CEO. OP screwed up the title
Oh, okay. But being that high up in a company doesn't restrict you from being almost as high up in another company??
Oh, okay. But being that high up in a company doesn't restrict you from being almost as high up in another company??
not legally as far as I know. he's involved in a lot of different companies at the moment. no idea how he doesn't cave under the stress
So basically he's a disposable business man that could be appointed to any company and does have any practical knowledge about products.
Oh wait, we knew that already.
And yet Activision has been posting record net profits. You guys clearly don't understand business.

We understand business: Kotick's entire shtick is to milk a previously-established franchise to death by releasing more games than the Madden Football series and appealing to the pre-teen/teen target market. It's the equivalent of being a parasite...a very successful parasite.
nobody would like soda if it wasn't forced onto them by advertising execs. people barely even know what's in most soda and what it does to your body.
the fact that you're all getting up in arms over this guy directing management or whatever is fucking ridiculous. you're completing ignoring the fact that coca cola produces and normalizes poison
I know soda is shit for me
I don't give a fuck, I will enjoy my throwback anyways, and sparkling water pussies will not stop me
Also,

damn amazing when it's in a can

yeah except it's called drinking it not a ton and only every once in one great while to enjoy yourself. Anyone with half a brain can understand the word "Moderation" and "self control".
also "exclusively"... well, obviously you had health issues, most of anything in excess is bad for you.
EDIT:
Hey instead of just ranting dumb how about you actually make a counter-point.

May I please have some information about why this is bad news?
AFAIK the brand is owned by coca-cola in europe
I wonder if it's the same formula. Hm, maybe I can order a bottle from Europe and then compare the two...scientifically!:eng101:

Activision Blizzard's business strategy is the equivalant of a parasite simply because they provide products which have demand, and do so towards a market segment that wants those products?
How the fuck is that being a parasite? That's providing a product where it's wanted. How about you hate the players, not the games if you reckon Call of Duty shouldn't exist? Because a lot of people love Call of Duty and they will continue on supporting it as long as Activision Blizzard keeps on creating products that appeal to them.

Apparently you've never seen the Tony Hawk or Guitar Hero series. Especially the latter. As soon as Activision got a hold of the series they began making developers pump out copy-paste games ridiculously fast, and they drained the market for rhythm games fairly dry. As soon as they got a hold of Blizzard, they decided to make World of Warcraft more "accessible" and took a large amount of developers off of the team to work on other projects, leaving it as a cash cow husk for the most part.
It's being parasitic because it's oversaturating a market to get a short-term benefit and destroying innovation and any long-term interest. Yes, it's pure capitalism, and yes, it works, but do I have to agree with it? No. Although maybe I'm being naive to think that morals or foresight can play any part in a business world.
no shit.
Then why'd you even mention it if coke has absolutely nothing to do with it?
stop taking everything extremely literally just to start an argument
I'm not taking anything literally and I'm not starting an argument. Finishing one, sure. But not starting one. After all, I'm not the one that barged in here and started preaching the evils of coke to a crowd that doesn't give two shits.

You can particularly tell this when games like Minecraft, Skyrim, and The Witcher 2 are met with low success.
Oh, wait, no.
He's right. Call of Duty games are products designed to be sold to a wanting consumer base. What other developers do with their games cannot be blamed on Activisions success.
Take up your complaints with the people responsible for pushing shit games for a quick buck, instead of the company doing what businesses have done for centuries.

Minecraft and Skyrim don't help your point. You're also falling for the same trap that industry people do, looking purely at sales numbers. The only difference is that they don't see "Skyrim did well" they see "MW3 sold better" and we get more brown military shooters. It's not even the market saturation I have a problem with, it's that Devs are encouraged to give up on their original ideas in order to appeal to a more profitable demographic. See Crysis 2.
And don't tell me there's nothing unethical about extorting your fans. Putting out a full priced sequel with minimal content, overpriced DLC, AND this new subscription service? Do you want this stuff to catch on?

Unfortunately, a typical business doesn't care about the consumer, they only care about the profit, and appear to care for the consumer because it brings in profit. Activision doesn't even try to put up a facade, they just rake in the cash of the same crowd who buy sports games, phones, and cameras every year.
Coca-Cola Elite Subscription pack, only 50$/year. Be the first to get the new flavored lemon cola.
What the shit, how many companys does this guy own a stake in?
