Do you think they would even have any advanced equipment like that?
I wouldn't really call MOPP suits "advanced equipment". I guess the only reason I figured they had stuff like that was because we give nations like Liberia our old equipment all the time.
"Contain it" Are they just going to shoot anyone who looks sick?
If someone suspected of being infected tried to forcefully leave the quarantine area, yeah i'd imagine they'd shoot them if they had to.
Do you think they would even have any advanced equipment like that?
Advanced? Rubber suits and gasmasks have been around since the early 1900's..
Ebola isn't airborne and they're probably going to simply shoot you if you get to close to them and they're not in quarantine gear. When they have military grade weaponry I doubt its hard for them to convince someone to stay the hell back.

Ebola isn't airborn so they don' need gasmasks. They just have to take precautions to not touch bodily fluids of people who show symptoms, which is no more complex than wearing gloves for the most part. Plus these aren't the richest countries, they probably can't afford MOPP gear even if they wanted to.
Uh. What? Just because something isn't airborne doesn't mean that it's A-OK to be running around without protection. Ebola is one of the few things that require Level-4 biosafety containment, so rocking it in just the gloves and smocks isn't acceptable workplace attire if you're dealing with it. (CDC's rules, not mine) I'm a thousand percent certain that if the US military was doing this exact same thing as these troops they'd be in full MOPP gear at all times, because it's fucking Ebola. Nobody with even an ounce of common sense is going to take any chances with a viral infection that has a fifty percent mortality rate at the minimum.
