bikers are self entitled cunts anyway
How so? Bikers get pissed off because people in cars think that they can do whatever the fuck they want to around bikers, and forget that they all have equal rights to the road. This goes for pedal bikers as well as motorbikes. If car drivers respected the bikers, bikers would reciprocate, it's as simple as that.

I feel that anybody who has the urge to defend the bikers hasn't even bothered watching the video, reading the article, and find out what actually happened.
And the guy who started this was a biker so it wasn't like this guy was looking to run people over.
Are you fuckin serious? He ran over a biker, and then tried to leave the scene. That's the text book definition of hit and run. What was the dumb ass expecting? Initially, he wasn't attacked, he was just boxed in. You can just run over people because they're mad at you that you just ran over one of their buddies. Also, the idiot didn't even know how to drive. The first biker that got ran over brake checked him and he didn't even react, he just ran him over. Also, they only started smashing his window after he had run over at least a few riders.
BTW, it's perfectly legal to try and stop a hit and run vehicle.
bikers are self entitled cunts anyway
Pretty much this.
Every biker ive seen was doing atleast one thing to act like they own the road.
Ive been tailgated by bikers every time ive had one behind me, even when going 5mph+ over the limit.
Seen quite a few fly threw traffic, swerving between cars that were already going over the limit.
Had some try to squeeze past stopped cars.
Seen several drag race in the middle of the day.
When theyre in groups, they tend to screw around a lot.
I see a decent amount of bad car drivers, but literally every biker i see is doing something wrong

lol wasn't paying attention? watch it again, there's bikers all around him, within feet of the vehicles sides. I'm betting he's paying attention to that when the asshole pulls in front of him WAY TOO CLOSELY and brakes

bikes have bigger brakes than you do. a biker can stop basically on a dime
lane splitting isn't illegal, it's actually encouraged in most places.
lane splitting still isn't illegal

He hit a person causing injury, failed to stop and render assistance, he did not identify himself and left he scene. That's a felony hit and run with a maximum sentence of 5 years.
[editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
Also, when he charged through the blockade with his car, that's attempted murder.

you're hilarious

The footage shows one motorcyclist brake hard in front the the car and seems to get bumped by it.
He pulled over but some of the bikers started to damage the vehicle. The NYPD spokesman told MailOnline the driver drove off 'to avoid an impending assault'.
He came to a stop, then the bikers surrounded him and began damaging his vehicle.
Are you fucking serious
Yes, are YOU fuckin serious? Initially, he was just boxed in. Nobody was attacking him or anything. But he had to charge through them because obviously he is too important.

Actually I watched the video again, He pretty much knocked a bunch of bikes over with the riders still on them. Maybe not akin to the literal definition of running someone over, but his car did drive over one of the said knocked over bikes, though it was hard to tell if the rider was under the bike or not.
Also stop the video at 00:53, there is a guy laying on the ground where the car had just drove away from.

'I need run over some more people because my shitty range rover is obviously more important than people's lives'.

Ive driven everywhere from Maine to North Carolina, which are 1000 miles apart. Ive driven 40k+ miles in total, and seen thousands of bikers.
Its a generalization based on the actions of thousands of bikers.
When every single biker you see is doing something wrong, and out of thousands, you never see one doing things right, its safe to assume the next one will be the same way.
Every biker, out of the thousands ive seen, was acting like they owned the road

Yeah, let's forget the fact that his family was in it.
But obviously his primary concern was his rover!

Yes, the lives of his wife and child who were in the car at the time.

so people drive erratically, putting themselves and you in danger, purposely get hit, you come to a stop and then they attack your car and you fear for your life, you're supposed to consider the safety of the people causing you harm?

Everyone ive talked to before has said, or proven, that bikes cant stop as good as cars.
Weaving between cars, in 55mph+ highways, is not lane splitting. If i did that in my car, id get a recklass driving ticket.
Lane splitting should be either illegal for all, or legal for all. Ive seen many instances where i could go between cars at stop lights or stop signs
Best part about bikers who ride my ass while I'm out is that if I put it in neutral and hit the throttle hard as hell my car smokes like a damn freight train, and I get to cover their pansy eyes and lungs with hot smoke :v: stop trying to weave in between me and the semis, it's very bad for your health. Does guarantee the EMS workers a job though, so there's that.
Also, if that kid is 5 months old, then i'm 5 years old:

the age of the child doesn't even matter
It's obvious that having hundreds of bikers swerving through automobiles that an incident is going to happen, then it's a free-for-all from there. Stereotypical bikers? Put 100 rabid golfers around me and I'd run 'em over too.
Technically, not an anecdote.
Im not telling you about an incident.
Im not writing out a story for you.
Im presenting evidence as to why i believe bikers are pretty bad

Your evidence is solely personal experiences, which is the very definition of an anecdote.

One is bound to assume that when a mob of angry people is trying to mess up your car it's not doing so to externate their dislike for your choice of motorized transportation, rather is looking to get through whatever it is that separates you from getting a bike helmet to the face

you sure do act like it
the bikers had nothing but a dangerous mob mentality and drove like reckless idiots, even PURPOSELY BUMPED HIM and CLEARLY tried to force him to slow down, then boxed him in.
Unless you're an idiot, anyone would have tried to escape.
But of course, if you payed attention, you'd know what I was talking about.

Why has nobody questioned why the cyclist brake checked the SUV? There was obvious confrontation between the two before the rider stopped the SUV. I'm very curious as to why he chose to do that.

From what I understand from watching ABC earlier, they don't know who any of the bikers are and are still on the search for them.
