I don't understand why you guys are saying the SUV "tripped" a biker. Where/when did that happen?
Brake-checking someone intentionally is stupid and the biker was asking to get hit. And if that's what initially caused the trouble, then it could have been easily avoided had the bikers been riding legally and not swarming the car/intruding into the other lane.
Granted, it doesn't justify anyone running anyone over, but the SUV driver's reaction is understandable.

whats even the point of break checking? at all?
to see if their break works? I don't get it.
The SUV driver should have rammed the guys chasing him when he was fleeing.

To scare tailgaters.
I find it humorous that he tried to out run sports bikes. Didn't get very far.
--broken automerge
Brake checking is done when a car behind you is following too close. It's meant to be a warning. Something to say "hold up, mother fucker, you're a little too close to my ass".
It's only supposed to be a brief TAP on the brakes. You don't actually stop. It's just to flash your tail lights.
This biker did it to intentionally cause the driver to bump into him. It's his own fault he got hit.

Range Rovers aren't exactly slow
They didn't do that. They boxed him in and were asking him to turn off his car.
Funny the only audio I heard in that video past motor noises was "YEAH! YEAHH!"
To scare tailgaters.
If I want to annoy nasty tail gators, I'll very slowly ease my speed then drive like 10mph on a 60mph until they pass. I don't give a shit if I shouldn't be doing 10, tail gating is very dangerous.
but he wasn't really tailgating either, they went in-front of him it seems / in his lane

then the bikers box him in, and, etc
I hate seeing stuff like this, my dads dad was driving and a bunch of bikers were around him, something happened and he ended up clipping a bike or something and the bikers swarmed him and stopped his car and pulled him out and beat him to death.
None of the bikers were even hurt or anything either.
it's explicitly legal in california, it's simply not on the books elsewhere. the way law in the united states works is if it's not illegal then it's illegal
I'm pretty sure it's illegal in New York, and pretty much every other state (except California where it's allowed if safe). According to Wikipedia, even if it's not explicitly stated in a law, there are many other codes which can be cited by an officer.

which is exactly why I can see why this guy tried to get the fuck outta there.
I probably would've shat my pants when they all stopped and turned and faced the car. That was like, 30+ bikers? I don't blame what the driver did at all.
The driver did what he needed to do to make it out safely because the riders were presenting a clear threat.

And I mean, his wife and 5 month old daughter were in the car with him. I would be terrified if I tapped a biker and there was 50 of them cruising behind me. I would be getting the fuck out of there and driving to a police station, I would take a ticket or fine for hitting him then risk getting the shit beat out of me or my car beat to shit.
Those bikers were swarming the road, switching in and out of lanes and riding in such a way to block the road. It's not a track. So I'm okay with people running those kinds of bikers over.
This could not possibly be more clear cut. The biker looked directly at him, cut him off, looked at him again, brake checked him (by actually fucking slamming the brakes) then they stopped traffic and surrounded him.
He's under no fucking obligation to just stick around at that point while a bunch of bikers crowd around his car after purposely causing an accident.
Those bikers should be charged with assault, obstructing traffic, and criminal damage to property. If I was in the car when the dude smashed the windows, I probably would've shot him fearing for my family's life.
the biker is the one that hits him, the biker looks right at the dude, slows down and bumps into him, then they box him in, try and slash his tires and surround him and after they get plowed to escape serious shit they hunt him down and attack him instead of letting authorities handle it. Obviously, using a shit mob mentality. seriously you're just sounding really silly as fuck now.
the fact you also think it was ok to hunt him down and beat him up makes me think I'd rather argue with a creationist. The crazy kind.
Look at his event history, he likes to go into SH and argue with everyone with his edgy opinions. There is no point feeding him.

Then again they'd have to be some really stupid bikers to surround and beat on a patrol car :v:
First off, the way the bikers were driving at the beginning basically made it impossible for the Rover to avoid an accident. They didn't have any right to make a scene when he bumped into one of them. After that I can justify everything that the guy in the Rover did, they were attacking him and his family at that point.
Hoping that all bikers involved get some kind of charge.
The common image of what a biker is caused this. There was no cause for fear, yet he was filled with it to the point where he would kill anyone in his way.
No, what caused this is the actions of these assholes, giving people who ride motorcycles a bad name
I hope the parties that assaulted the gentleman are found, arrested, and charged with aggrivated assault.
Whats with some of the stupid cunts on here?
If I had people smashing up my car with my family on board id fucking run them over till they were dead to protect them.

I wouldn't do something dumb like intentionally kill them, but I would get away as fast as I can and if people are in the way then avoid injuring them if possible and then hopefully speed away.
One of the bikers was arrested and another was paralyzed, the paralyzed one isn't the one that brake-checked the Range Rover though.

more videos from the guys youtube before they were removed
Good thing somebody nabbed those. Pretty sneaky to try and take them down, I wonder why they did that :downs:
"Oh shit, all these videos of us running red lights, driving on sidewalks, driving in emergency lanes and cutting people off probably won't bode well for us"

Why was everyone yesterday saying that none of the bikers were injured?
Wow, i just now got to watch the video. I cant believe that anyone would side with the bikers.
You can clearly see the biker watch the car driver as he pulls in front of him and slams on his brakes for no reason. Its the same exact thing you see people do in ensurance fraud videos.
They could have left it at that, got his plate number, call the police, and let him go. Instead, they surround him. When youre surrounded by dozens of bikers, after one purposely ran into you, your fight or flight instincts kick in. The driver plows them over in an attempt to get to safety. The bikers had yet another chance to call police, let him go, and avoid further confrontation. Instead, they chase after him. Not for just a minute, but for several minutes, into the city. The driver stops again, giving them another chance to get his plate and call police. Instead, they block him in again and even try to open his door. Fight or flight kicks in again, another biker is hit as the driver flees to safety.
Think the bikers learned to let him go and call police? Nope.
Bikers follow him again, for a couple minutes, deeper into the city. Eventually the driver is caught in stopped traffic. Another chance for bikers to do whats right, write down his plate, call police, and avoid further confrontation.
Instead, they swarm him and start attacking.
The bikers were in the wrong the entire time, while the car driver did nothing wrong

Initial reports said only the man in the rover was injured.
