Still runs smoother than 90% of Android devices. It also actually gets updates, :O what a novel idea!

" Every droid is an LG,no exceptions"

Post
Android will never be as smooth as iOS. It simply can't be as optimized for the hardware, and it has to do everything through their Dalvik VM while iOS and WPX use native code. Even phones with quad core Krait chips still can get really sluggish or stuttery.
Siri still sounds better that the Pico TTS on Android.
i love siri for her personality you wouldn't understand our love
But but We are too lazy to click the link... Would siri really matter now? I mean don't we have google now in a sense..
Exactly. Since the OPs of threads can't post the article and bold certain details, nobody will read anything before bandwagoning in and saying dumb shit.
too bad both siri and Google now can't understand my Australian accent
Google Now is also more accurate.
This. It's the only voice thing that has actually understood what the hell I'm trying to tell it. Though it doesn't do well with band names in foreign languages - the time "play Lacuna Coil" got heard as "pray to a tuna roll" will never leave my mind.
it doesn't ship with PC's Android ships with phones that shouldn't exist
There's nothing stopping a PC manufacturer from selling PCs preloaded with Ubuntu Christian Edition though. Windows phone master race?
Shame the iphone is over-rated garbage.
I don't really see why iphones would be considered "garbage". They're solidly built, can do almost everything you need it to, and runs smoothly compared to other smartphones. Overrated, maybe (if you consider all the apple fan-boys praising each new generation as some sort of technological marvel). Over-priced, yes. But definitely not garbage.
Is Siri really that awful? I mean, does it actually latch on to things like "picture of a stallion" and ask you about them for hours, even after you've moved on, or was that a joke? It sort of has a sense of humor now, if you count all the random chat responses it has. I doubt they actually had an AI that understood humor (since that would be amazing on its own), but just more responses to random things, or less serious responses to normal queries, which probably should've been cut.
Never seen siri act up that badly in person but I have never seen anyone use it for anything besides silly questions either. While my Nexus 7 has Google Now which is very useful and accurate. Then again, I have used it more.

Wait, the whole Siri thing wasn't even developed by Apple, it was just bought up by them?
why cant we have a smartphone thread without it turning into a Android vs Apple crying fest. Both have up sides and down sides but at the end of the day they're both awesome.
While my Nexus 7 has Google Now which is very useful and accurate. Then again, I have used it more.
Is Now really that great? Everyone seems to enjoy it but I'm wary of turning on location history. Partially for battery life reasons, partially because I don't really want google to have all that info

I usually disable that if I have the option. But it is quite handy.
Google Now is also more accurate.
to be fair she shouldn't be speaking like a robot, I hate when people do that to voice recognition things
to be fair she shouldn't be speaking like a robot, I hate when people do that to voice recognition things
She was trying to speak clearly for the phones not sound like a robot.
