because of a bad experience, it's effects or how it affected you My dad got fucked up on pot, so I stay the hell away from it.
Yeah, but that's the same logic as hating knives because your father cut his own hand off.
because of a bad experience, it's effects or how it affected you My dad got fucked up on pot, so I stay the hell away from it.
.... How does one get fucked up on pot?
When you're either really stupid or not smoking pot
Yeah, but that's the same logic as hating knives because your father cut his own hand off.
Don't even joke about those god damn knives.
because pot is a drug and people don't like drugs
if people didn't like drugs then there wouldn't be any drugs around. atleast decriminilization. The prohibition is useless and doesn't work and costs money fuck stupid people and their uneducated opinions the only reason weed is illegal is because of corporate interest, racism and a government, that still fails in providing useful and honest information about weed. There is no other reason.
How is it racist? I'm actually curious, I keep hearing that and I want to know how it's racist.
Back when the first cannabis laws came into effect, mexicans where coming into the US with weed, so people figured, ban the weed get rid of the mexicans. Utah on the other hand banned weed because the polygamists who moved to Mexico to escape the US laws and the chuirchs decision to ban polygamy within the US from coming back, because after a while in mexico they did start to come back. (which is why i don't get the whole it's a spirtual thing not to smoke it, because it's really not)
From hence forth, you are an idiot.
I'm a Dutchman, don't disagree with me when it comes to pot.
I'm a Dutchman
oranje boven oranje boven ole ole ole
oranje boven oranje boven ole ole ole
Nederland oh Nederland Jij bent de kampioen Wij houden van Oranje Om zijn daden en zijn doen
Has anyone done the math and figured out how much they would save if they didn't arrest 72,000 people a year on pot charges and prosecute/jail them?
Those god damn Racist White Pigs up in the Capital want you to think their reasons are pure, but they're about as corrupt as can be, man! The Wall Street fat cats just want to put down the Mexicans by putting a stranglehold on their only good product!
Do some research, ignorant scum.
Because this works out so well with crack and heroine and all those other drugs.
People know the danger of those drugs. Just because they become legal doesn't mean everyone is going to try them. The drug war is a total failure and waste of money. Legalization will stop crime and the overcrowding of prisons.
Nobody eeeeeever uses marijuana in the long term.
No one uses it as heavily as the subjects in those studies.
Wait, this isn't helping my argument because that idea is bullshit...
Agreed, what the fuck were you thinking?
... Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Great evidence, sounds like you know a lot about drugs!
Overdosing doesn't have to do with the drug itself, by the way. Heroin and morphine still aren't dangerous.
It's pretty hard to overdose on heroin or morphine. Most deaths are from vomiting. You can die from overdosing on alcohol more easily, if the government cares about our safety, then why would they keep it legal? Oh, right, prohibition doesn't work.
Like marijuana doesn't. It just changes it to make it hungry.
First off, addiction and hunger are completely different things. Addiction wastes money, hunger can help cancer patients or people who don't eat enough. Second, nicotine physically rewires the brain to make you addicted. It's not a simple chemical change, you can't just reverse it. Cannabis makes you feel hungry because cannabinoids are already in your brain, used to regulate appetite. Another reason why cannabis is far healthier. Nicotine is a foreign substance.
Wait, so first it has a medical reason for them being addicted, but then it's about self control?
Wow. Have you ever heard of people stopping cold turkey? That's using self control against the physical addiction.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
There are countless studies on all of the known drugs. We know how they work on the brain. And if you don't think cannabis is healthy, watch Run From the Cure on Youtube. It helps with pretty much any disease or symptom. It cures cancer.
yes
Wow you are small minded. I guess emancipation isn't that great huh. [editline]06:01PM[/editline]
The psychoactive effects of cannabis, known as a "high", are subjective and can vary based on the individual and the method of use. Some effects may include an altered state of consciousness, euphoria, feelings of well-being, relaxation or stress reduction, lethargy (seen more towards higher CBD:THC ratio plants, such as C. indica dominant strains), increased appreciation of humor, music or art, joviality, metacognition and introspection, enhanced recollection (episodic memory), increased sensuality, increased awareness of sensation, increased libido, creative or philosophical thinking, disruption of linear memory, paranoia, agitation or anxiety, and increased awareness of patterns and colour. Cannabis also produces many subjective effects, such as greater enjoyment of food taste and aroma, an enhanced enjoyment of music and comedy, and marked distortions in the perception of time and space (where experiencing an up rush of ideas from the bank of long-term memory can create the subjective impression of long elapsed time, while a clock reveals that only a short time has passed). At higher doses, effects can include altered body image, auditory and/or visual illusions, and ataxia from selective impairment of polysynaptic reflexes. In rare cases, cannabis can lead to depersonalization; this is most often considered a desirable effect.
I don't know about you but those look like hallucinations to me. And while we're at it.
Specifically, 4-12% of accident fatalities have detected levels of cannabis
[editline]06:05PM[/editline] http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/05/08/health/webmd/main4080584.shtml
Wow you are small minded. I guess emancipation isn't that great huh.
Something tells me that he wasn't being totally serious.
I don't know about you but those look like hallucinations to me.
Cannabis can only cause hallucinations in high amounts, MUCH more than a normal dose. Most people do not use enough to get hallucinations.
Specifically, 4-12% of accident fatalities have detected levels of cannabis
Those levels could easily be THC left in the bloodstream from using cannabis days or even weeks prior to driving. Any small trace of THC is used in that statistic, even an amount that has no affect on the mind.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/...n4080584.shtml
I'd say those aren't withdrawal symptoms, those people may feel irritable or anxious normally, which may be why they are such heavy users.
Poor policemen, can't beat people up for having the most common illegal drug in america... [editline]05:21PM[/editline]
Wow you are small minded. [editline]05:24PM[/editline]
A drug that makes you hallucinate.
Then you've clearly not been smoking pot.
I'm a Dutchman, don't disagree with me when it comes to pot.
Then don't make up shit about pot and no one will disagree with you.
I don't know why it's not legal in Canada already, I mean, I live in B.C, everyones baked 24/7. [editline]05:57PM[/editline]
Wow you are small minded. The most I've seen was these small green blobs everywhere and I saw myself and was convinced that it wasn't me. It was some really amazing weed.
Why the fuck is everyone on facepunch such a pretencious cock? Seriously on the first page almost everything is, "god damned fucking junkies and crackheads, trying to legalise weed" Best part is, it's not particularly sangerous, not much more or less than tobacco, and it seems to hae some benefits. Also i don't smoke it.
LA LA LAA I'M NOT LISTENING
Translated.
Translated.
Funny, I actually replied to your points, while you're the one doing that.
You 'replied' by ignoring them. "OH NO WELL IT COULD HAVE BEEN FROM AGES AGO SO IT DOESN'T AFFECT YOU ALSO 420 BUT IF YOU DRINK ALCOHOL IT INSTANTLY KILLS YOU FOREVER HUFF PUFF HUFF PUFF" [editline]07:35PM[/editline] Because that's basically the potheads' argument. "Y IS LESS DANGEROUS THAN , THEREFORE INSTEAD OF BANNING X AS WELL WE SHOULD LEGALISE Y. CANNABIS DOESN'T AFFECT YOU!!! WHAT? NO THAT STUDY IS FROM LAST WEEK OUTDAAAAAAAATED HERE IS ONE DONE BY SOMEBODY WHO LIKES CANNABIS OKAY."
why so stupid
Yet you still fail to refute those arguments.
Which argument?
Something tells me that he wasn't being totally serious.
Erm yes he was. I rate you a book.
Cannabis can only cause hallucinations in high amounts, MUCH more than a normal dose. Most people do not use enough to get hallucinations.
If you take a teaspoon of vodka you won't get drunk but alcohol is still a depressant.
Those levels could easily be THC left in the bloodstream from using cannabis days or even weeks prior to driving. Any small trace of THC is used in that statistic, even an amount that has no affect on the mind.
Same goes for alcohol, but no-one ever disputes those statistics. The fact is that if there is an intoxicating substance in someone's blood you can't be sure whether they're under the influence of it or not, and it's best to err on the side of caution - you can fail a brethalyser test the day after a night drinking.
I'd say those aren't withdrawal symptoms, those people may feel irritable or anxious normally, which may be why they are such heavy users.
And here you're just denying that it has anything to do with it, the calling card of the cornered pothead. When you're dealing with a drug that can cause paranoia, irratibility or anxiousness n people who take it is probably caused by the drug. [editline]07:45PM[/editline]
why so stupid
Good one.

sorry but how old are you? i'm just wondering why you're trying to argue pot is a dangerous drug

OK you know what I'm leaving this thread because it's fucking late and I'm off to go see my dealer.
