Sure, tons of them have good work ethic, but I see the majority of the ones around my neighborhood not doing much except drinking beer and eye-fucking women.
And this is why all companies doing statistical analysis focus solely on your neighbourhood when they gather data
mexicans don't come to america to do nothing, they can do that in mexico. they want to make a better living.

And there's the prejudice.
They're not considered national extremists when they're part of legitimate political parties
"Keep Britain British", "stop all immigration to Sweden", shit like that is slowly becoming more mainstream (although that Norwegian guy definitely did a number on the validity of those views)
None of the conservative (and tbh the conservative party in Denmark is completely down to earth and the immigrant hostile party is actually borderline-socialist) parties are nearly as influential as the Republican party though.

From what I've seen of Danish politics, I align most with the Socialist People's Party (as over-the-top as that sounds), so I care very little for any Conservative party.

Yeah, sounds like something out of North Korea :v:
Personally I'm more of a Danish Social Liberal Party guy.

People that stupid need to be involuntarily sterilized. Or at least barred from having any say in government. How the FUCK is that level of ignorance even possible? "Oprah got this foreign Communist elected"?
I'd actually say the conservatism movement is stronger in Europe than in North America. I mean ours are still piddling around in gay marriage while Europe's are actively talking about how to get rid of races that aren't white

Doesn't Australia still have the whole internet/video game censorship thing going on?
[editline]30th August 2011[/editline]
Because that means their government is about on par with the US's in terms of stupid things done for horrible reasons.
The way that article is written, they make it seem like illegal immigrants didn't even exist until Obama was president.
I don't see how this is news. Illegal immigrants receive deportation orders everyday, and everyday illegal immigrants ignore their deportation orders. The only thing "significant" is that he's a distant relative of the President; and somehow they're trying to spin that to say the President is ineffectively combating illegal immigration? No, this has been a problem for several Presidents and it's not going away anytime soon.
I honestly can't believe this shit. He handled the response to Hurricane Irene spectacularly, and yet the story getting coverage is that his Kenyan uncle got drunk and ran a stop sign?

I've heard enough about Irene to last me a lifetime. This happened a week ago, and it's just getting into the media now.
It made it into the media because he's related to a famous person. Same thing happens with celebrities.
cue fox news headline posts
Obama arrested for drunk driving
For all the tools who can't read, saying "it's obama's uncle so what" he was apparently suppose to be deported and this just raises the question of why he isn't yet.
For all the tools who can't read, saying "it's obama's uncle so what" he was apparently suppose to be deported and this just raises the question of why he isn't yet.
Because the police aren't able to instantaneously track every single person in the country.
What kind of fucking stupid question is that?
It's like complaining about

Because people evade deportation all the time.
Throw in the fact that he's going back to Kenya as opposed to say, the UK, it's not surprising.
Still not news. Like I, and others have said, this kind of thing happens on a relatively regular basis--an immigrant evades deportation, commits a crime and is discovered, and then he's sent out of the country. No big story here.
That was some pretty sick generalizing you did there, though.

There is a difference between people discussing it and media presenting it.
A huge difference, actually.
So I'm not too worried about what you have or haven't heard enough about.
His uncle has nothing to do with him, but Fox news probably won't care.
"Obama's uncle was drinking AND driving, clearly this shows Obama is a terrible president."
This is why I dislike in the news. Every thread gets derailed into Fox News jokes. Regardless, it doesn't really matter.
I disagree with what I've read of that article.
Confirmed for overly biased idiot. I feel sorry for him, because he's obviously dedicated his life to the US military, without realizing that it's merely a tool of a government that doesn't possess any kind of intrinsic moral value.
No, most of them are there because they have misguided feelings of patriotism, or to pay for college and have job security. They have morals, but simply because the government tells them that they are liberating a country for freedom in the war against terror, doesn't give them any kind of moral legitimacy.

Yes because Bin Laden didn't become radicalized as a result of the American bases in Saudi Arabia, right. Do you even know what the fuck you are talking about?
FOX NEWS HEADLINE:
"Obama's Uncle Charged with Drunken Driving, Held by Immigration Officials."
Very biased if you ask me...
[editline]30th August 2011[/editline]
Also, the same type of thing happened with Bush's daughter about drinking underage and it was reported immediately, not next week.

If that is the title, then that sounds pretty fair.

I didn't dispute your claim regarding this, but it's something we have to deal with. It's pointless to complain about what could have been. Saying if something had happened and how we'd be much better of and that was the case is fine and dandy, but it's not the reality. Considering I come from a family that's lost way too many family members to war as of late, I have a general idea of what I'm talking about, yes.
Doesn't everyone's uncle do this?

What do they mean with telling us that 'Obama's cousin' just got arrested for drunk driving?
Is it that we should be worried about the president for letting his cousin do that?
