Yeah but then again that's a car for rich people, so they won't be selling a lot of those. They're no threat to the business, and I said nearly always.. [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline] There's a difference between conformism and just plain uglyness...
50k, which...I guess is a lot, not quite "rich" though [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline] For the Model S anyway, roadster is definitely rich man material
Since this vehicle uses compressed air, does that mean that if it crashes on a full tank then it might explode?
Jesus FUCK who hires these designers?
Oil companies. I wouldn't be surprised if all these eco concept cars were being designed by oil companies just to keep the reputation of alternative fuel cars in the shitter
Oh for god's sake As someone with much knowledge and love for cars, this thing is ridiculous. Honestly, I would rather get a piggy back from someone and travel 100 Km like that rather than go inside that thing. [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline]
So we finally have a car that runs on air, and people push it away?
Yes because it's rubbish [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline]
stop blowing it off i think its good
You know nothing about cars then... or dignity. I'm sorry, gentlemen, this is the worst car I have ever seen in my entire life and it's not catching on.
The Only Fools theme popped into my head as soon as I saw that picture.
I mean, do you walk around looking like this?: Because that's what this is.
I kinda want one, I like the design. Kinda reminds me of one of the Daft Punk helmets though... It's still awesome.
Also, car with 3 wheels? Not a good idea.
Okay some posts went missing in this thread I mentioned the Tesla Roaster now that post is gone
You mean space trash?
Yes, that.
damn you oil companies stealing my posts AND breaking my automerge
To me it seems obvious that if it's the same level of emissions as an electric car and electric cars have a much higher level of energy density (in the same space of compressed air you can have batteries that will go further), electric cars are the winning number
-snip-
Okay some posts went missing in this thread I mentioned the Tesla Roaster now that post is gone
it's still in your post history :iiam:
Also, car with 3 wheels? Not a good idea.
In that configuration I agree, but the T-Rex design begs to differ:
Jesus FUCK who hires these designers? Thumbs up for the engineers, but what the fuck is wrong with the designers of concept/hybrid cars? Why are they nearly ALWAYS ugly... Why the fuck is that? Is it a deal with the oil companys? "Oh yeah you guys can make cars that can ruin our business, just make them butt-ugly and we won't complain..."
there's an old saying for games- coders can't play and players can't code. so basically, engineers can't sculpt and sculptors can't engineer.
I doubt it's the engineers that designed that thing... It's just some free-time project of companies and they know it's not gonna sell so they just let anyone work on it...
He is talking like it was their idea, the compressed air.
fake and gay
Thats pretty damn amazing. I want one without the roof.
So we finally have a car that runs on air, and people push it away?
They're stupid. Don't mind them.
Maybe i'd buy the car , if the shape of the car wasn't that ridiculous looking...
In that configuration I agree, but the T-Rex design begs to differ:
Yes, one wheel at the back works. Not at the front. Thank fuck it has tinted windows.
Anyone who watches Top Gear knows that three wheeled vehicles are a terrible idea.
Can't they make an environmentally friendly car that looks good?
Robin Reliants have 3 wheels. They're the worst "car" ever conceived of. I see no hope for this.
Top Gear made reliants awesome.
foams cars are all the rage
Who cares what it looks like. I'd be awesome driving one of these around if I obviously looked like I didn't care what people thought of me for driving it.
I've heard of concept cars running off super-compressed gases, but never an actual one [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline] I'd wager that they will turn out to be impractical and electric cars will be the future, though
So it's a futuristic looking Tuk Tuk.
