And how much of that is your monitor shitting itself because you're trying to display a 4k pic on it? Mine is 1920x1200, there's no way in hell I'm getting a 4K pic to look any better than native res. Either A: It's zoomed in and I have the FOV of a sniper's scole, or B: It's zoomed out and blurry as fuck because of said zoomout. 'Tis kinda the reason I never get all that excited about teaser screenshots touting graphics like this. Especially resolution.
you know many forms of anti aliasing rely on downscaling from larger than native resolutions right
Trevor looks even more fucked up in 4k.
Rockstar really is milking this, releasing it 3 times with time between and each new release being "better" then the last. Can't really see how this is not a way to make sure people buy it at least twice.
Chop's fur looks awful.
it has multiple layers, which is far better than a flat fur texture
Chop's fur looks awful.
Chop's fur is just an extra mesh layer with a fur texture over top, like Sif in Dark Souls. [editline]27th February 2015[/editline] [t]http://media.rockstargames.com/rockstargames/img/global/news/upload/gtav02272015_14.jpg[/t] I feel like the Alpha in chop's fur needs to be softer. The fur edges are too harsh up close.
I think it's time I finally upgraded my parts or build my own custom pc for the first time. Still running on a GTX 550 Ti and a Intel i3. :v:
Honestly, I play at 1080p so if I do start scrutinizing textures it won't be nearly as apparent for me as it is at 4k. Although I really need to upgrade my CPU before I even hope to tackle this game half-decently.
"Hey, that's the thing you're not getting for longer!" :v: [editline]27th February 2015[/editline]
Damn this looks impressive, its pretty crazy to see how far we've come in terms of graphics from just a few years ago.
I'd honestly rather have more fleshing out of the sp.
Why they can't release this damn game, we don't care about 4k screenshots something... we can do ourself that 4k screenshots when the game was released... I hate rockstar now... the only thing they can release now is delay stuff info and screenshot wow bigdeal !!

In that one screenshot with the rocks, the texture looks like it wasn't fully loaded yet.
I feel like the Alpha in chop's fur needs to be softer. The fur edges are too harsh up close.
It looks like it's a black and white alpha with no grayscale values.
Can't wait to get this game during a sale. I'm not used to doling out £40 for a game.
Let's be honest, in 1-2 years when modding is a thing, GTA6 is gonna be out and the console community are gonna be enjoying the newest iteration in silky smooth 900p at 30fps while PC users wait three years for a port.
mmmmmmm 30 fps
Can't wait to get this game during a sale. I'm not used to doling out £40 for a game.
Why not? That's been a thing for awhile. [editline]27th February 2015[/editline]
900p at 30fps while PC users wait three years for a port.
Uh, neither of these are preferable so I don't see your point
Lets be honest come 1-2 years when modding is a thing. The PC community is gonna be having more fun than console community.
More like come 2~3 weeks. Tools for GTA V modding have been made since 2013 just waiting for the PC version.
The consistency between the rear compartment and the front compartment... is god awful. Hopefully there are mods that will change this, interiors are shit even when they were remastered in the PS4/XB1 version.
they should have released the game instead
they really are milking this
Wow... an open world game in a huge city and people complain about dog fur and car back seats not looking sharp enough in a 4K still image.
Wow... an open world game in a huge city and people complain about dog fur and car back seats not looking sharp enough in a 4K still image.
The PC gaming community is honestly full of babies who are never happy with anything.
Game looks great. I mean hell, it was even a good looker on last gen hardware in terms of lighting and general atmosphere. Yeah, some of the textures are a bit ass, but when the modding community takes off, I'm sure we will get some high-res texture packs to help alleviate that. If not, then you can just throw on an ENB/SweetFX like you would with GTA IV, and have all the blur/bloom distract you from the iffy textures.:v:
The PC gaming community is honestly full of babies who are never happy with anything.
kind of hard to be happy about a game we dont have yet, just saying
I think it's time I finally upgraded my parts or build my own custom pc for the first time. Still running on a GTX 550 Ti and a Intel i3. :v:
You exceed the minimum requirements by quite a bit, at least
Think my FX8350 will handle this? That's what worries me most. I mean seriously, I don't even give a shit if game has graphics of GTA 3, as long as all functionality is there.
Think my FX8350 will handle this? That's what worries me most. I mean seriously, I don't even give a shit if game has graphics of GTA 3, as long as all functionality is there.
Seeing as it's part of the Recommended specs, yes. I'm thinking as long as you have a mid tier PC from 2013, you should be able to run this game on pretty high settings. Of course, time will tell. We'll have to see how good the port is when the game comes out. Given the Max Payne 3 team is working on the port, and Max Payne 3 had a pretty good PC port, I'm being cautiously optimistic about it.
honestly i think its blaitantly obvious that rock* was paid a fuckton of money to even make a version for the last gen, then they took the proceeds from those and used them to seriously boost the game's quality for current gen
Or . . . . . it's because if you're going to invest a lot of money into the game, it makes more sense to cater to an install base of 170 million as opposed to the 30 that the PS4 and Xbox One have combined now (and had barely half of a year ago)? Even now, PS3 GTAV sales outnumber PS4 GTAV sales nearly 4-to-1 and Xbox 360 GTAV sales outnumber Xbox One GTAV sales 6-to-1. In fact, the PS3 GTAV sales outnumber the amount of PS4 console sales in existence and the Xbox 360 GTAV sales likewise outnumber the amount of Xbox One consoles sold.
The PC gaming community is honestly full of babies who are never happy with anything.
without those same "babies" graphical innovation would stagnate because there would be no demand yes, that means pointing out the graphical shortcomings in the dogs fur and the backseat of a car are valid things. in fact, they should be welcomed.
Why they can't release this damn game, we don't care about 4k screenshots something... we can do ourself that 4k screenshots when the game was released... These screenshots took so long to make they caused the delay.
without those same "babies" graphical innovation would stagnate because there would be no demand yes, that means pointing out the graphical shortcomings in the dogs fur and the backseat of a car are valid things. in fact, they should be welcomed.
We need less graphical babies and more gameplay babies. Now THAT would send videogames into space age.
