suddenly polynesians try to make themselves relevant
roles the rock is known for: - fat people - tough people you have one guess because the answer is goddam obvious i mean i didn't even know the rock was this dude's voice actor yet first time seeing the character with the tattoos (yes i know that's just part of the culture) i thought he looked like an exaggerated tf2-y version of yaboi dwayne
Roadhog rides again I mean come on, look at this:
I do but that is besides the point, he looks fat. It doesn't matter if he's obese or a strongman, they both look fat. He is very round and smooth, aka the definition of looking fat. Doesn't really matter if it's muscle or not underneath in this case.
He doesn't look the least bit fat. His characturized roundness implies fat, but it's not all fat. Example: This is fat. Fat doesn't maintain a shape like muscle does, it's not solid like muscle so it can't, hence "rolls". This is also relevant.

It is literally offset by their sheer muscle mass -- saying the muscle mass doesn't matter is like comparing two cars of the same make, except one has been modified heavily with a stronger engine. the difference is that an obese man has underdeveloped muscles that can barely hold their own bodyweight, as well as the numerous amounts of health problems that stem from a lack of exercise compare this to strongmen, who are still relatively fat but have staggeringly large amounts of muscle, and can easily deadlift over twice or three times their bodyweight, and squat over +600 pounds. (pictured: brian shaw, one of the most famous American strongmen) are they both fat? yes. but you can be fat and healthy, as long as you know what you're doing.
Are Polynesians notorious whingers or something?
In my experience Polynesians are some of the most laid back people you will ever meet. I'm betting this is just a minority of local whiners looking or attention, most of them are probably either looking forward to it or don't give a shit.
I think the problem is that the guy character has zero joints or muscle definition which makes him look fat.
I've been living in Hawaii for a little over 4 years. A shitload of them are fatasses.
where do you fuckin think all the muscle goes????????????
if his entire bulk was pure muscle he would be ripped that is still a big amount of fat but that is not dangerously fat or obese fat if he's a strong ass kicker
He basically has the same body type as Wreck it Ralph dude. Was he considered obese too ?
The Polynesian people are a big people overall. I feel like the character is fine (It is after-all a character is an animated movie) and I could very easily imagine the criticism going the other way if they made him thin and fit because that isn't what your typical islander looks like.
are they both fat? yes. but you can be fat and healthy, as long as you know what you're doing.
I never disagreed on that part. Just said that the character looks fat. Not that it's bad or unhealthy per se. Just that you can't deny that he is, that's stupid.
i thought we were supposed to be body positive and accepting of fat
He looks like an over exaggerated Civ 5 character.
too... fucking... bad you don't get to choose the direction of someone else's art you wouldn't walk up to a painter and say "hey, you should have used red there instead of blue"
Ha, tell that to Blizzard, after releasing Overwatch... "ZOMG Tracer's pose is sexist!!!1!1!1111" That's what they get for pandering to SJWs.

It's a shitshow on both sides.
The backlash to them changing the pose was bigger than the backlash to the pose in the first place. It's a shitshow on both sides.
True that. I just wanted to point out how these inane complaints, like the character in the OP and Tracer, blow out of proportion. The Polynesian character looks buff as hell, Tracer's pose is cute, but other people clearly see "fat" and "sexist". FFS.
i thought we were supposed to be body positive and accepting of fat
Only when it happens to women.
dude's in better shape than those complaining about him
dude's in better shape than those complaining about him
Try using that argument against people who dislike model photos in fashion mags.
Try using that argument against people who dislike model photos in fashion mags.
It's the truth, whether they like it or not, it's their business.
Try using that argument against people who dislike model photos in fashion mags.
It's not even worth trying to argue with someone that oversensitive about meaningless things.
It's not even worth trying to argue with someone that oversensitive about meaningless things.
why argue logic with someone who has no sense of it
Ha, tell that to Blizzard, after releasing Overwatch... "ZOMG Tracer's pose is sexist!!!1!1!1111" That's what they get for pandering to SJWs.
To be fair, they handled that in the best possible way- the pose they replaced it with was recieved far better by both sides.
Looks like a polynesian dude to me, like this guy
I'm confused, why do they keep saying Tongan/Hawian when it's clearly Maori influence, they don't even have evidence the Maori ever came from Hawaii. That said i'm confused, most likely wrong, Im probably abit anal too.
These kind of people can never be pleased. They'll always find something to complain about no matter how big of a stretch it is.
Looks like a polynesian dude to me, like this guy
That guy's my new favourite person.
These people need to get a hobby that is not bitching for hours Oh! How about they all get together and knit, very calming if I do say so myself.
