December 20, 2012. Suicide rates skyrocket.
Phwew, I was getting worried. Thanks NASA!
Until 2013 comes and goes, I'm going to pretend like the world's going to end anyways. Just like I've always done. A boy can dream, you know.
Explain how these pole shifts cause such effects because I'm baffled at how this could cause tornadoes and increase the strength of earthquakes along with climate changing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pole_shift_hypothesis It's the "best" kind of pseudo-science, it's got a very thin backing of real science, with extra stuff thrown on top. And people often confuse the geomagnetic, rotational and geographic poles when talking about it, so you never know exactly what they mean.
I wonder if people are still going to freak the fuck out. Probably.
Mass suicide without a doubt.
Mayans can predict the end of the world to the exact day and year? But they can't predict the Spanish steamrolling their civilization to extinction
Probably late, but the Spanish didn't end the Mayan's, they ended the Aztec's and Inca's. No, the Mayans wiped out for "unknown reasons!". (Actually, it was likely plague.)
All that will happen is a massive idiot cull in which thousands of dumbasses kill themselves and riot in the streets and get arrested.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.
I always heard that the earth will end "As we know it". That could mean anything. Personally... I'm rooting for flying cars. We are 12 years overdue for flying cars at this point, now seems like a good time for it!
I never thought I would say this but I'm gonna stock up on popcorn and watch nothing but the news on December 21st.
NIBIRU!!!!! :suicide:
just so you know "conspiracy theorist" means "someone who theorizes about conspiracy" unless the giant meteor that crazy people think will end the world in 2012 happens to be working with the CIA to get its flight trajectory right, it isnt a conspiracy theory
They are conspiracy theorists because all of their theories revolve around them being in the know, and the actual authorities and experts in the fields they're pseudo-science-ing in indulging in a conspiracy of silence/denial.
They say the apocalypse is true, so personal finances can't be of much concern, correct? But what if the doom-Sayers are wrong? People have been predicting Armageddon since the start of time. Guess what? None of them have been correct so far. Thus, before you heat your house by burning $100 bills, adopt a wait-and-see attitude. (User was permabanned for this post ("Spam" - rilez))

I was gonna say 'NASA Confirms 2012 Apocalypse Myth: Earth "Still There" '
Mayans can predict the end of the world to the exact day and year? But they can't predict the Spanish steamrolling their civilization to extinction
Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!
I was gonna say 'NASA Confirms 2012 Apocalypse Myth: Earth "Still There" '
Yes, after a year of observations and calculations, we can definitively conclude that the earth was not destroyed.
