Try it and see!! I'm guessing you get to keep it forever, they've probably made more money off Portal than they ever expected to and I'm sure once it goes on sale for >$0 again they will continue to sell more copies. I already own it on both my steam accounts so I'm probably not going to make another just to get a free copy, I'll just encourage people who don't have it to get it.

I gotta say... I'm kinda surprised to see that Portal seems to run a LOT better in os10 than it did on my bootcamp partition (W7). Bearing in mind that I'm running both on identical hardware, I can get the settings all up to full, whereas before I had to play without AA and at a non-native resolution to get better frame-rates. A testament to OpenGL I guess!
