I don't like Apple because they don't really offer you any options. Like... put a fucking microSD slot in your god damn products or something. Give us a larger degree of customisation. And don't force us to use your shitty software or file types whenever we connect to a computer. I'd rather get a HTC Desire HD or something like that. It's cheaper, it looks nicer in my opinion, you seem to have a much greater degree of customisation, and it has a fucking microSD slot!
You have to be pretty fucking dense to not realize that people aren't unhappy with apple for their products, but for their business practices.
Unfortunately one is more bound to drive people away than the other. People don't care so much about business practices as long as they can get a quality product or don't feel ripped off on their end.
ipod and MP3 players are obsolete today now that hand phones have the same capability to play music
I love my iPod Touch. Its awesome, its like having an iPhone without the phone, and since I don't need a cell phone that is great.
Yes but phone music players cannot compete with an iPod at the moment Half of them decide to play music out loud when the headphones are unplugged (seriously, whoever programmed that needs a slap) I like iPods, I still use an iPod nano 2nd generation and it functions fine. the only thing I dislike is the price tag
I just listen to my youtube song list for music.
I hope this means all of the iPod products could face dramatic price cuts. Don't need to spend $500 for an inflated iTouch.
ITS FUCKING iPOD TOUCH, NOT iTOUCH, GOD DAMN.
I dunno about you guys but I think iPod touch prices are reasonable.
If they didn't release one each year, maybe the sales would be up But with the cost of it, and the frequent releases of them, it was set up for failure Release one once every 2 or 3 years, and sales will go up.
I got a 120gb Ipod classic, that is all I need. I don't play on buying an MP3 player in a long time.

I didn't get a 1G because it didn't have a speaker (and I got one for free anyway). I guess, I speak from experience, the Touch 1G was a good internet browser, the 2G made it faster and had a speaker that was severely necessary, and the 3G was kind of a shit that nobody cared about, and the 4G basically turned it into a slightly worse iPhone with no phone. I have one of each, and I love my iPT4G to death. I've given my 1G and 2G to family members since then.
Most people don't hate apple it's just that you can buy a cheap sony walkman device that costs 100's of dollars less and does the exact same thing.
no it doesnt touch :downs:
Haha, I still use my PSP as my MP3 player. Best $100 ever spent.
Maybe it's partly because the current generation of iPod nanos (the cheapest iPods with a screen) has less features than last gen.
Haha, I still use my PSP as my MP3 player. Best $100 ever spent.
The PSP Phat is hella resilient but there's only so many times a 6 year old can drop it. I don't really want another one just yet, so I'm pretty excited for the PSV. All dem features.
My friend has an 160GB iPod classic, it is a very nice device and at the moment probably the only apple device I would consider buying.
For those of you that bought a Sony Walkman, that may be the economical choice. But the reason they're not flying off the shelves anymore is because they've already experienced what Apple is going through right now. Product comes out, revolutionizes the music industry or other industries, and then bigger and better things come around to make the original obsolete. A prime example:
I could never understand why my friends will carry around an iPod and a cellphone.
I'm one of the people who use a regular multimedia phone that's most advanced features are a touch screen and slideout keyboard but use an iPod for music and videos and whatnot. I like it better that way too because I never have the urge to use any smartphone stuff when I'm out and about and it's MUCH cheaper that way. I might get a smartphone when I have a job but right now I'm just an unemployed college student.
I'm reading all of this and I'm just wondering this. Is it REALLY that hard to wait a little or to do ANYTHING without music? I've had a few MP3 players, never used them much, and I'm not dead or anything... Seriously?
honestly I love my ipod touch and I don't want to buy a phone that can play music. I can text on my ipod for free, and I have a phone to call people. I don't want to have to buy a phone when my ipod dies.
Is it REALLY that hard to wait a little or to do ANYTHING without music?
music's too good dude

My dad and I gave up on ipods when getting a new battery for his ipod touch means buying a completly new one
My iPod classic became like the best thing ever once I figured out how to sync it with Winamp
Doesn't seem like the case here. Apple is a successful company because it realizes what consumers want, and does a good job at making products that do just that. I could elaborate more. If you want. Seems like a lot of the posters here just dislike the fact that a company is so good in what they do, and that people are willing to pay up for their goods and services. You guys say the Sony Walkman does great job at doing what it does. Maybe that's true (I haven't used one). But for some reason, Walkmans aren't flying off the shelves. Why? Well it seems most consumers don't want what it has to offer. Seems Apple is a little more keen on what most people want. That's what's up.
It's more like Apple somehow got the niche of idiots that don't understand shit, and they exploit their lack of knowledge. You can get a Zune HD for ~100$ cheaper than a equal capacity ipod touch but does anyone buy those? Not many, why?
Droid 2 music player all day erry day
