I live in Texas. Time to get myself a house.

God damn, that's pretty amazing. Props to him.
I would get that paperclip and start the chain all over again.
I actually live near Flower Mound, though I've not heard of this happening. Looking through news feeds I'm only getting broader websites and no local DFW stations. That being said it probably did happen, though I wonder how other things might be handled for him like utilities taxes and property taxes. That being said I do like seeing this just to troll them. Suburbs around here like Flower Mound are very pretentious and judgmental about their neighbors, and this is magnified when you get to the "well-off" part of the suburbs (though there are worse, see Highland Park). I think the fact of their neighbor being black probably isn't helping much either.
Yeah, I actually live in Flower Mound. It's not like everyone is a judgmental rich asshole, but like, 75% of them are. And the kids? Don't get me started... At least the public education is decent.
At least the public education is decent.
Well, when you have a reasonably well-off populace (for the most part), the property taxes generally fund the thing well. That's why places like Plano have really good education, compared to say Garland a few miles away.
Smart guy.
he bought the house for less than a four person meal at mcdonalds this guy is a genius
By the looks of him, he prefers KFC anyway :v:
THAT IS A WINNER, GIVE THIS MAN EVERY SINGLE FUCKING INTERNETS!
The article is acting as if $300,000 gets you a home in a nice neighbourhood. Is property really that cheap in the US? In sydney, that wouldnt even get you a studio apartment, and houses are at least $800,000 in mediocre neighbourhoods, and 1 mil plus if you want something that isnt as small as your bathroom.
