is skinny puppy the only music that the US pirated for torture?
They also used this shit song.
They also used this shit song.
Killing in the Name is p. great.
Yeah didnt Rage Against the Machine as well as some other bands protest against this type of shit?
It's a second rate Till Lindemann!
If anything, Lindemann is a Nivek Ogre ripoff Anyway, it's been a while since I listened to skinny puppy, is their new album any good?
Yeah didnt Rage Against the Machine as well as some other bands protest against this type of shit?
iirc Rise Against, Tom Morello, Nine Inch Nails and a whole bunch of bands did it on account of their music being used for torture.
Yeah didnt Rage Against the Machine as well as some other bands protest against this type of shit?
Yeah. From what I heard they just sent cease and desist notices to Gitmo, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of publicity from them. Skinny Puppy seems to have stirred up more publicity on the issue with the invoice story.
Listen? I used to dance to this stuff. That was out around the same time as The Cure's 'Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me' album was out and pop was vomiting all over itself over Lionel Richie. Skinny Puppy was less difficult to listen to by contrast.
Dang this is so industrial but 80's at the same time Really cool stuff thanks for sharing
It's great!
Alright I'll check it out!
Surely Islamic fundamentalists would have a harder time dealing with something like this Industrial is pretty tame by comparison
While Satanic metal is pretty hardcore, it's not downright insane like Industrial can get. I mean, for Christ's sake, look at some of Skuppy's getups in some of their shows: [editline]13th February 2014[/editline] Satanic metal is just offensive, it's not debilitating like some of the more uncommon industrial genres can get. I mean, just listen to this shit: It's called 'industrial bluegrass.' I'd fucking shoot myself if I was forced to listen to this for too long. Forget waterboarding, this is hell incarnate.
thank you for a new band to listen to this is easily some of the weirdest shit, i'll be listening to this for a while [editline]13th February 2014[/editline] until my ears bleed which won't take long
I only know one song by Skinny Puppy and it was one the most beautiful I have heard

My favorite band of all time, actually.
Gitmo should just torture people with this song instead.
If you want more mainstream industrial to listen to, try Nine Inch Nails, they're fantastic. My favorite band of all time, actually.
I like them but they're not as good as skinny puppy in my eyes Trent also stole "dig it" from skinny puppies "down in it"
I like them but they're not as good as skinny puppy in my eyes Trent also stole "dig it" from skinny puppies "down in it"
Other way around. And Trent said around the time the song came out it was heavily influenced by cEvin at the time. [editline]14th February 2014[/editline] And I prefer Down In It. Mostly because it's less disorienting :v: I think the pinnacle of Nine Inch Nails was The Fragile, where it was a lot more than just industrial (which Skuppy has always been 100% of). Both bands are extremely talented, I listen to both all the time, I just slightly prefer NIN.
If you want more mainstream industrial to listen to, try Nine Inch Nails, they're fantastic. Even though I fucking LOVE the fragile era, their later albums are mostly electronic rock and later straight up ambient/whatever post-industrial is.
Here's Trent and oGre playing together, p sure cEvin was also part of of that project.
Interview with Ogre on Breaking The Set
imo Lindemann is a second rate Ogre.

If anything, Lindemann is a Nivek Ogre ripoff
Yeah, looking at some of these pictures, I kinda have to agree. Rammstein still takes the cake in terms of stage show, but when it comes to sheer frontman "dude wtf", Ogre wins.

Quite frankly I think this would be a more cruel torture method, moreso the video than the song though:
I actually like and listen to that song non-ironically.
