• NK goes there: warns of nuclear "sacred war"

Japan bombings wasn't even my point from the beginning, it was just an example. you said that if the US nukes NK suddenly all the other countries that are capable of nuclear war are going to join in, which is really not true and wouldn't really make any sense. [editline]07:45AM[/editline] Why would the world want to succumb into a, basically, nuclear apocalypse all for US' struggle with NK?
I'm just putting the Japan thing out there since you mentioned it, I don't really have an opinion about the rest. Although it is extremely silly to assume that simply because a country or even two detonate nuclear weapons that the others would blindly begin to launch their own in every direction.
So am I dead yet
Yes
Why does everyone think China will jump in and help North Korea? It would be stupid, economic suicide, and end up being a disaster for half the globe for a decade or more. North Korea is being a little punk and once he snaps thinking he's going to kick someone's ass, is going to get his ass kicked instead, and no one is going to help him. You wouldn't help your friend evade from the police after he shot a cop during a crime he pulled off, would you? If you would, imagine then that you have 20 Million dollars and that's expected to double every year for you if you continue your life without getting involved
I'm pretty sure the US has anti-ballistic defense systems...
Your forgetting that North Korea doesn't even have ballistic missiles yet. The worst they could do is attack South Korea
If they launch nukes, I'm pretty sure every nation that is against nuclear force will declare war.
I like the naive response from some earlier posters that the U.S defense system is without flaw and that it could defend every missle attack, get over yourself, there's no way of knowing for sure if one will hit or not, but it's probable that if the stockpile of NK's weapons was large enough, that some would manage to strike American soil. You're also ignoring the fact that the U.S AND U.K are currently in a war in the middle east which will in all likelyhood, stress out the U.S military force if a new enemy rears its head. Don't make the stupid mistake of assuming that because America has a large nuclear stockpile that it is somehow impenetrable to attack, it's just as vulnerable as other nations and these threats should be taken seriously.
if eudoxia was here, he'd be saying "use a cleen nuke n it will be all fine hurf durf :downs:"
I'm wondering if we were to go to war with them and invade them, would we be pulling soldiers out of the Middle East or elsewhere? I already know we have troops in SK, but still.

I almost want to go to war. This is the kind of war the United States does REALLY well. [editline]11:21PM[/editline] I think that if North Korea uses nuclear weapons, China will distance themselves from them.
China is already sort of "pssst, cut it out ffs..." to NK, like when the SK ship sank they said "well ermm we don't want to take sides here..." So I doubt they'd be ready to involve themselves in a war against the United States because their neighbours wouldn't stop waving their cocks around.
You guys called.
It seems pretty much inevitable that there will soon be a war between North Korea and most likely South Korea and the United States backed up by NATO. The North Korean government isn't cooperating in diplomatic efforts to ease the tensions. With that in mind, I hope the war comes sooner rather than later, because in ten years they could pose a much larger threat to the United States.
With that in mind, I hope the war comes sooner rather than later, because in ten years they could pose a much larger threat to the United States.
yes, everyone be scared that north korea is going to go from one era of outdated technology to another..meanwhile the US will get more state of the art equipment and defenses. There will be no war. NK already knows that the US has the means to destroy the country 10 times over. This is just a batshit insane leader flexing his country's muscles with big talk.
Well its 1:23am there now.. Nothing has happened so far.
That umbrella girl vid that you guys keep mentioning has fake subtitles, in case no one mentioned it yet, had a korean friend watch it and he said that what they are talking about isn't even remotely related to the subtitles.
NK wins because america doesn't know which direction the pacific is in
We just want to show how long range our missiles are.
I just saw a lot of Helicopters with missiles attached to them flying over my house. :ohdear:
Take some photos
Take some photos
I think there all gone. Though if any more come I'll get a pic.
Unlikely, only a fraction of our military is busy in the Middle East, One Aircraft Carrier and all the forces we currently have in South Korea would probably be enough to render NK helpless after a while, Although they do have a strong ground force, we would definitely hold the air very quick, and no matter how many soldiers you have, you aren't getting past a choke point with the American Air Force over head
I find it hard to believe that the 7th Air Force plus the George Washington CVBG of the 7th Fleet alone has the ordnance to stop four corps' worth of forces along with the fact that North Koreans won't be as easily as routed as Iraqis. Even with the additional F-16s from Japan those North Koreans by now would know how to deceive delivery of air munitions by employing decoys. Even with all these advanced sensors there's no way they'll eliminate the fog and friction of war. No war can be won bloodlessly and surgically from the skies alone.
