Something did happen, our glorious leader is so powerful even the military is afraid of him! Ha ha!
There indeed were Japanese ideas of surrendering, but the Americans couldn't and didn't know that.
They were trying to contact them through Soviet channels. [editline]08:35PM[/editline]
The American Empire is evil and wants to murder hundreds of million to advance its capitalist pig-dog goals and imperialist schemes. Go communism!
what's this? lulzblocks not contributing anything but a retarded post? fucking shocking [editline]08:38PM[/editline]
Than the question is: Does he care? That bastard is insane, so you can never know.
He's paranoid and takes massive steps to ensure his safety. He's also a nationalist.
Dude, I advise you to visit a doctor and have that stick removed from your ass.
expert rebuttal.
expert rebuttal.
Implying I was replying to the content of your post and not the fact you're always super serious :v:
He's attempting to justify the extermination of 350,000 innocent people yeah, that's somewhat serious.
He's attempting to justify the extermination of 350,000 innocent people yeah, that's somewhat serious.
Or maybe he is assaulting your attitude. And even after Japan surrendered some soldiers on the outer islands that had no contact with their headquarters continued fighting. And besides what the americans did to end Japan was based on their knowledge of the enemy and their movements at the time and entirely within the rules of engagement.
He's attempting to justify the extermination of 350,000 innocent people yeah, that's somewhat serious.
The nuclear bombs on Japan were prefectly justified. It stopped a full scale invasion of Japan, costing millions of lives compared to a few thousand. What would you rather? 350000 people or 2+ million? It's ridiculous to think you can save everyone in war.

So it wasn't just a knee jerk reaction

The military actions of the war were free of politics until the mop up in Europe and the negotiations, Japan was hit with the bombs as a hammer blow to ensure surrender and break their will to carry on with the war.

Besides, the bombings were a good thing. Japan lost it's monarchy and became one of the most succesful nations in the world, and every other nation thinking about pulling a hitler wouldn't dare try to do it Anyway, all of this was 65 years ago, the result was great, and there's no point bickering on about whether it should or shouldn't have been done. You can't change the outcome anyway.

Pretty much EVERY surrender that has ever occurred has had discussion before hand. Even unconditional surrenders like in Korea. The DPRK and the UN forces had months of peace talks. the result was great? 350,000 people were fucking slaughtered, two cities destroyed and generations of cancer and leukemia sprouted up.

The people of Japan wanted to continue the war, even if it meant defeat. You're seriously suggesting they shouldn't have dropped two bombs on two cities in favour of a full scale invasion?
The soviets WERE the allies. how do you not fucking know that? [editline]10:16PM[/editline] and pay the fuck attention, they should have LISTENED to the Japanese and started peace talks with them.

The Japanese were trying to get the soviets on their side, and they disagreed. The soviets and the allies would have united together and stormed the island, causing millions of deaths, rape, torture, and other shit, compared to two bombs going off and killing 350000 people. tl;dr You're an idiot

They were also a signatory of the Declaration by the United Nations in '42.
Too bad the U.S. misinterpreted their one word reply
The Soviets were in a military alliance with the U.K. after Barbarossa was launched, so yes, they were part of the Allies. They were also a signatory of the Declaration by the United Nations in '42.
you shouldn't even have to say this, this is common fucking knowledge.
War is bad man, I think it's time we all go into cryostasis.

That's if you consider the soviets to be part of a faction itself, being so large and powerful
This was going to be thread music because I thought the song was titled Sacred War, not Tribal War. But around 2:15 it gets pretty cool.

[editline]04:11AM[/editline] Do you know who the Allied powers were fighting during WW2? here's a fucking hint: Germany. Who led Nazi Germany? do you know that? christ, do i really have to fucking prove this to you?
I'm pretty sure the inclusion of the Soviets in the Allies left the others uneasy.
Of course they didn't LIKE it. Churchill didn't particularly like FDR, but they were still the official allied powers. [editline]04:18AM[/editline]
Says the guy who thinks they should have invaded japan rather then drop two bombs
jesus christ, you're either illiterate or retarded. I said TWO times, i didn't agree with either. I said the Japanese were using Soviet channel to organise a surrender, i was saying they should have spoken to the Japanese and organised peacetalks. and what the fuck do you mean "says the guy"? I'm providing evidence, something you should have learned in Grammar school, that the Soviet Union was part of the 4 major OFFICIAL Allied powers. [editline]04:19AM[/editline] you're either a troll, or insane
