If only he had painkillers at the time of his death so that starving and pneumonia wouldn't hurt him, just kill him.
Main legal obstacle: Suicide is illegal.
People are very quick to criticise the ruling. Please at least read what's reported. This ruling coincides with morals, from attention seekers to drug addicts, opening the floodgates of people with depression that's on a polarised scale.
If Tony Nicholson were to win, we could talk about capital punishment in a few years time after death is made such a soft issue. Guaranteed.
Wait, what? I'm sorry but are you trying to say that if you legalise assisted suicide everyone will start killing themselves over minor issues? Here's a fucking idea, you legalise suicide because frankly that law is disregarded anyway because you know suicidal folk tend to be more worried about their life than some archaic fucking law. Then you set up a process to get checked for assisted suicide so it can only be performed in certain clinics or hospitals, where multiple doctors check your physical and mental state to see if your condition can be markedly improved to the point you feel happy with your life, if not then you kill them.
