By PREVENTING Nuclear war???
[editline]6th April 2015[/editline]
So, political dynasties are only okay if you agree with what they're doing? Good to know.
Political Dynasties are Okay if the results they get are good for the American people. Politics is not about having a centrist leader who wants to come to a solution everyone can agree to. Populism is not always (and rarely is) a good thing. politics is about passing legislation which makes peoples' lives better, and if the people best at doing that are the kennedy or clinton dynasty, then so be it. The difference between the kennedy family and the bush family is that the kennedies have been a net positive, while the bushes have been a net negative.
Read that again please, you just said 1.2(actually it's 1.3) million dead people are better than the Kenedy government preventing nuclear winter.
I hardly think it was Kennedy alone who prevented a nuclear holocaust. Khruschev was in just as a difficult position as Kennedy and if i remember correctly, it was Khruschev who managed to solve the situation in an acceptable way. I actually quite admire Khruschev.

That's why I said the Kennedy government. And it's also not the point of the discussion.
The point was that we all know the Bush family and their associates/friends/partners(Koch Brothers for example) are incompetent idiots who raked in the results of their predecessors for domestic politics and absolutely wrecked the foreign politics of the US.
I don't know man I would call "coming close" better than 1.2 million dead people in the wake of 9/11

Post 9/11, how many Americans were actually against the war on terror?

I'm not denying that at all. Even though i'm not American i don't want to see another bush in the whitehouse. Although i've got no way to change it, it affects all of us, including you, because American Foreign policies tends to set the tempo for the rest of the western world. Some places it's worse than others though.
While I don't support Jeb at all, he should not be discounted for his brother's incompetency in any way.
Dynasties should have no place in the American presidency
Honestly it should probably be "Latino." That's what they really mean. But for some reason it's "Hispanic," even though if you're actually from Spain you're expected to put Caucasian.
The real lack of logic is when someone is forced to choose between White (Non-Hispanic) and other inapplicable races and then have to also state yes on an additional, separate question asking if they are Hispanic. It's like they assume that there are no people that are simultaneously of Caucasian and Latino heritage.

The government shouldn't always do what the majority of people want, but rather what is best for the people; the problem is how does the government determine the latter.

Telesur? Really? That's the best you can come up with?
Telesur is to "socialist" Latin America what Russia Today is to Russia.
I really don't like how the American presidency is becoming a sort of political dynasty.

Well my point is, who at that time would have argued that it wasn't for the best of the American people - considering 3,000 people had just died from a massive terrorist attack? In retrospect the war on terror has been a mess, but to now pin all that on Bush is silly - whereas I think it is fair to stack blame on Tony Blair because in the UK there were huge active protests against the Iraq War (1 million+ people)
