That seems like a rather foolish design, it's a wonder this doesn't happen more often.
It kind of is an idiot design, no joke there, Want to know another idiot design? The safety on that Glock 23 is on the trigger itself But I wouldn't be surprised if the design changes some time soon now, Something always gets done about obvious flaws AFTER something bad happens, For instance, Nashville PD got Automatics issued as service weapons only AFTER an Officer was killed by some guy hiding in his attic (Officer Paul Scurry) Upgrading from the 6 shooter .357's
pulling the race card allows everyone who protested during his case to raid a footlocker. [editline]11:44AM[/editline]
People shouldn't put themselves in that position in the first place. I don't feel bad for what happened with Grant; if anything I feel bad for the officer. Grant was involved in at least 12 different criminal cases, according to Alameda County Courthouse records, and served several months in prison (2007 - 2008). From the looks of it, I really don't think he would have done any good for this world anyways.
his father was also put away for life for murdering someone.
wtf So just because he had a spotty past, it's OK for him to die?
Not at all. I just was stating my opinion. I have a very low tolerance for people, in general, when it comes to breaking the law.
My friend, who is far more knowledgeable than me about this type of thing, said this:
Whilst you are correct in saying that to fire a pistol a round must first be chambered by pulling back the slide, this is most commonly done beforehand in a secure location. In the UK, armed police carry their weapons in this 'made ready' to fire state. Watching the footage, it appears the officer had the weapon made ready previously as he does not seem to work the slide inbetween drawing the pistol and shooting the victim. Also worthy of note is his schocked reaction to having shot the victim. As such, it is concieveable that he unconsciously drew and fired a his pistol when he intended to draw and fire a taser. That unconsciousness of action is the distinction between murder and manslaughter. That aside, the officer's actions are unexcusable.
I more or less agree with it.
Not at all. I just was stating my opinion. I have a very low tolerance for people, in general, when it comes to breaking the law.
this is why you aren't a legislator [editline]11:41PM[/editline] they really need to do something to make tasers distinct from pistols
If you watched the video, then it is pretty obvious that he probably wasn't out to execute the poor kid. Fucked up though it may be, there is a good chance it really was a mistake. Unless you can fucking prove that he wanted to kill that kid beyond a reasonable doubt, then shut the fuck up. Our entire justice system is based around the principle that letting a guilty man go free is less bad than imprisoning an innocent man.
White man kills a black man: riots Black man kills a white man: the black man is innocent he can't possibly be to blame But aside from that he'll probably get out of jail in like a year for good behaviour, thanks to the brilliant justice system. Honestly, racism is such a stupid thing
Rad Beading
