Some parties in the parliament are pursuing that people that leaked confidentatial documents be prosecuted, because they broke the law by leaking confidential documents. A lot of people need to remember that if something is listed as confidential on state level, leaking is actually a fairly serious crime.
In that sense one may applause Snowden for example, but it's still a crime.

i would, personally. names don't need to be attached but if someone is arrested for something they posted online for accountability reasons it would be good for the public to know what it was that was said to warrant arresting

There should be a special government institution for leaking, some oversight bureau or something that will protect you if it is worthwhile for the people to know about. and is independent from other agencies and politics.
