When they go to trial, people will be focused on the marijuana, not the act of smuggling and that isn't right. They are going to be charged with intent to distribute marijuana and smuggling narcotics

I would also like to take this time to tell you all that I smoked marijuana during high school but I'm not some fucking stoner, I don't smoke it anymore and I probably will never again but I do support the legalization because when I have kids, I don't want them using cigarettes because those are the only legal alternative.

They are probably going to be in prison for 10-15 years and our tax dollars will pay for their essential needs during that time. I do believe they should be punished for smuggling but a seperate count for intent to distribute marijuana is just flatout bullshit.

They were well aware of the consequences before they decided to smuggle in a drug that they have had PRIOR knowledge is ILLEGAL.
Yes, I know it shouldn't be illegal, but that is besides the point. They knew of the consequences therefore should pay with their punishment.
