So this guy Barry Deley Won the lottery for 2 million which was drawn on his news channel and there is video of his co-anchors calling him live in disbelief.
An incredible moment was captured on live television when two news anchors realised the name on the winning ticket for a $2million lottery was that of their colleague.Global BC hosts Sophie Lui and Squire Barnes were stunned to discover sports anchor Barry Deley had won the jackpot prize as they presented their Monday morning show from Vancouver. Barnes then phoned his friend live on air to tell the new millionaire what had happened, to which a delighted Deley replied: 'You know people are going to think this is kind of fishy don't you?'
vidya http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kvPbz9wyycA (video tags aren't working?) I wonder if he'll continue to be a sports anchor?
Holy damn. This happened on the Simpsons too.
I wonder if he'll continue to be a sports anchor?
I would, if it's something I enjoyed, seems like an easy enough job that'll keep you busy while you spend shittons of money :v:

edit: Just noticed barnes has an amazing first name, Squire.
Holy damn. This happened on the Simpsons too.
i remember that episode damn long time since i watched that
He wins.
"Well there was gonna be a sports cast then one of the sports guys won a house" oh man that's just hilarious.
"Is he allowed to win?" :v: It would have been waaaay better if he had been on the studio.

The news guy is so jealous.
Holy damn. This happened on the Simpsons too.
Kent Brockman!
Lucky fuck.
I love how irritated the other male anchor is.
It would have been so funny if the winner was on set, lucky guy.
I love how casual these reporters seem.
I used to think that was a lot of money, but when you know the value of stuff it's kinda depressing. Although I could easily pay off my morgage and live of the intrest, I can't have a lambo, nice house, $1000 hookers. That shit is billionare territory. I would have prefered it if he had gone crazy.
The male host is dripping jealously, i mean its just so evident :v:
Football or something
I love how casual these reporters seem.
\ 6 o-clock crew has been a lot more off the wall in the past.
i watched this live, i live in victoria
I don't think there are taxes on the Canadian lotteries. I could be wrong though.
You are right.
I bet the guys who wanted the sportscast are fucking irate about this.
Would he even have to pay tax on it? I dunno how it works in Canada but in the UK if you win the lottery its a tax free lump sum.
In the US I'm pretty sure there is a 25% tax. And after that there may or may not be a state tax on top of that. I'm sure Canada has something similar.
Possibly cheat

yeah lots of people will be dicks and try to say he cheated it.
