Poor Pinkie Pie :(
this, if the meat was toxic somehow I'd understand an uproar but people just need to stop whining
It is indeed the only reason of any outcry, the British people do not like horse.
BBC has a relevant Magazine article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-21043368
Seriously people complaining, why? Cause they carry you on their backs, come on people.
I understand that people might be worried that the food they buy don't contain what it says on it, But as for the meat itself i don't really see the problem
Horse meat is actually quite nice, it's a shame it's not more mainstream then it'd be easier to get hold of.
That is fucked up. You don't eat service animals.
Dogs, cats, horses, and we even specifically differentiate service cattle under the name "oxen" despite there being absolutely no difference other than the fact that they perform labor for us.
They generally get to pass up landing on our dinner plate because they work for us.
You know horses can be bred specifically for meat?
The media keeps banging on about the British people refusing to eat Horse meat, but when you actually ask people they have no problem with it

It's the joys of papers like the Mail, Express and Sun, their readerbases are the types who would get all uptight against it.
The only issue I actually have with it is the false advertising and the fact that they were clearly not inspecting their sources enough. I'd eat a lot types of animals if they were cheap, tasted good and are sustainable.
Now I can be right when using Nicks line from Left 4 Dead 2,
"You ever eat a horse? It's tasty."

Pigs find truffles but we eat them.
I eat horse steaks instead of beef steaks
Horse steaks better
And not only about eating other animals that arent cow, pig or chicken, but more parts of the same animal. Whats up with throwing certain organs away? They're edible as well
Tesco have paid for this to be printed in newspapers:
I figure it as a very tough yet smooth meat, that's very tender and very protein happy.
I hear it tastes just like raisins.

Bit soon to be horsing around
What's wrong with getting a reprieve from consumption because they worked their worth while alive? It's not like the West is suffering from food shortages.
I don't think the west takes work cattle and grinds them into supermarket burgers. I'm talking about private farms where instead of burying the dead hunk of meat it could be eaten for dinner. It's going to be eaten by worms and shit anyway so what difference does it make?
Hello, I can say from a source that employees have been asked to avoid wearing name badges displaying horses, all staff and guards have been told to watch out for horse costume pranksters (so far two stores have been visited).
Also that the factory in question was slaughtering horses which was something the company didn't know about at the time. I expect production will likely be moved to a different company.
It's funny because my history professor was explaining how during the meat-packing days in the 1920's, "The beef included horse meat occasionally"
Guess we haven't advanced much in 90 years (although this was in the US)
Geez you'd think the end is neigh with the amount of fuss that's been caused.
Fuck horse meat
human steak is where its at
I think you should be able to eat horse meat if you want, I wouldn't but that's my choice.
But the issue here is the false advertising and the mixing of other animal meats. I already know about this and I would post a video but it's extremely gory. Basically it shows the part of the meats falls off the machinery and into the dirty floor with a bunch of other meats and the workers just picks it up and put in back there without even trying to get the right meat and worse not even cleaning it.
Also this is bad news for jews because their hamburgers usually have pork in it.
This is why I hope in the future they can start doing that lab-grown meat. No animals harm, same nutrition(Actually better nutrition most likely) and none of that sketchy ass meat glue.
My doctor said I should watch what I eat..
so I have booked tickets to see the grand national
