I actually still think this looks decent for what it is, still play it sometimes :v:
I remember seeing my grandpa playing 1942 and then my Dad got Vietnam, which I started playing a lot. Then he got BF2 and I played that pretty much every chance I could and then I got my own copy of 2142. I fucking love Battlefield.
It was such a blast getting a huge plane or the aircraft carrier and messing around. I can't even count the hours I spent on this game when I was younger.

Secret Weapons of WWII still is my favorite game, right up there with Vietnam.
I bought the complete collection few months ago, since i lost the original disc(s). This game never gets old.

Edit: Only Battlefield i never played was 2142, not sure why though. But i'm not exactly a fan of future warfare.
I have so many god damn memories of BF1942.
Played the demo for it back in early 2002 and couldn't get enough of it.
Begged my parents to get me it and they did for Christmas.
My first map was Stalingrad and it was incredible... a full 64 player server with grenades, tank shells, and bullets whizzing every which way.
I was in WW2 gaming heaven.
And I still play the game to this day.

I only played 1942 recently with bots and it was offline, couldn't get online to work which was a shame. Online gaming started with Battlefield 2 which was fantastic.
BF1942 was an amazing game. The Desert Combat mod made it even better (personally). Flying helis in there required skill but when you could, you were a sky ninja.
It's a shame no one plays the mod FH or Galactic Conquest. I would play those over the games I have now.
I remember first playing Point of Existence mod, that shit was so cash. Also BF2 Sandbox mod was some good stuff.

Battlefield 1942, Metal of Honor, Half-life, CS 1.5 and the first 2 CoD's summarize my first years of having a computer.
I have just about every Battlefield game that came out on the PC, minus the 2142 expansion which I never got that far into. I also transitioned from disks to online copies around the time Euro Forces and Armored Fury came out for BF2.

Ah, Battlefield 1942. I remember when I first got this game, my computer could barely run it and I had no internet, yet I still played anyway. I have my original box laying around here, plus two copy's of the Complete 1942 + Vietnam bundle..
Bocage is still one of the most badass fps maps I have ever played, same with Wake Island.

Bought 1942 on launch day, after playing the demo for ages. One of my favourite games ever made. Especially with Forgotten Hope mod which is still played today. I'm quite the fighter ace.

The fact you could drive the Battleships and Submarines in 1942 was fucking awesome. I used to rush the sub and go sink their battleship.

First time I tried to install it (When I got W7) It didn't want to install, And just a month ago, I tried again, The installation was perfect, I ran the game, It worked, But then I tried it again, It didn't run... Il have to try it again later...

Secret weapons was not the best expansion Imo, Don't get me wrong though, Fucking around with Jetpacks was pretty fun after a while...
