lol all the markets are lagging out to fuck. it's gonna tip very soon, already dropping, huge numbers of people selling... [editline]6th March 2013[/editline] [ oop and it's gaining a bit again. i expect $40 or less in morning.
Just what I was thinking, I'm expecting a correction down to ~$40, maybe $37 worst case once things settle down.
Doesn't help that they're lagging about 5 minutes behind
Doesn't help that they're lagging about 5 minutes behind
Someone who invested large sums in Bitcoins is probably getting a heart attack :v:
Here it comes..

Probably because of panic sellers.
Probably because of panic sellers.
wouldn't you [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] like i said you're gambling here, it's not an investment. you have to be lucky. [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#bitcoin oh my god that is depressing reading lol, people have got loans for this
Looks like we're in a bull trap now
<NeedAdvice9> SomethingAwful definitely caused this crash, look at their forum
remember that time something awful caused a crash by posting a thread on bitcoin talk saying SELL SELL SELL
"right now between $800,000 and $1,000,000 needs to change hands for the price to get back to this morning's peak"
"right now between $800,000 and $1,000,000 needs to change hands for the price to get back to this morning's peak"
It shouldn't be back at this morning's peak. I think anything in the $40s or high $30s is over-valued right now. The market is a lot stronger compared historically, true, but look at how volatile it currently is. A currency shouldn't drop $5 in 5 minutes.
Mtgox trading engine lag: 400.35s [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] lol
Shot up back to $41. Doubt it's going go under $25. Will most likely stabilize back to around $34 which is what it was several days ago.
Shot up back to $41. Doubt it's going go under $25. Will most likely stabilize back to around $34 which is what it was several days ago.
I too think I can predict the exact dollar amount a volatile commodity is going to land on.
i hope me selling at $34 wasn't a stupid idea i want to buy some more when they crash and hope they do this again [editline]7th March 2013[/editline]
I too think I can predict the exact dollar amount a volatile commodity is going to land on.
we get the point holy shit dude
I too think I can predict the exact dollar amount a volatile commodity is going to land on.
Once silk road etc die then so will bitcoin. Up until then they'll always be worth something to people, basically drug tokens.
i hope me selling at $34 wasn't a stupid idea i want to buy some more when they crash and hope they do this again [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] we get the point holy shit dude
apparently starpluck doesn't [editline]6th March 2013[/editline]
Once silk road etc die then so will bitcoin. Up until then they'll always be worth something to people, basically drug tokens.
silkroad doesn't really care what the price is. It's all automatically attached to USD.
I too think I can predict the exact dollar amount a volatile commodity is going to land on.
$48 from around $30 in one day is a lot agreed, but the only "crash" that will occur is it going back down to 30. 99% positive. It's already $2 higher than it was 24 hours ago (damn what a crash) Message me after all the fluctuations are over, if I'm wrong I'll eat my words here. [editline]6th March 2013[/editline]
silkroad doesn't really care what the price is. It's all automatically attached to USD.
That depends if the seller automatically hedges their funds. Some sellers chooses to make their listings strictly static. And regardless of whether the funds are hedged or not, it provides sufficient worth for bitcoin.
apparently starpluck doesn't [editline]6th March 2013[/editline] silkroad doesn't really care what the price is. It's all automatically attached to USD.
Yeah but you have to use bitcoins. so there will be demand, people buy them, giving them some sort of worth.
It's already below your worst case of $37 lmao. Currency of the future!! [editline]6th March 2013[/editline] From 36 to 34 in like 2 minutes
Look closer, I said "once it settles down."
I too think I can predict the exact dollar amount a volatile commodity is going to land on.
Can you read? He said "around." That doesn't mean you can't make general predictions. You're grasping at straws here by posting nonsense and it shows. Come back when you can show us why bitcoin will die and maybe we can have a discussion.
Once silk road etc die then so will bitcoin. Up until then they'll always be worth something to people, basically drug tokens.
Speak for yourself [editline]a[/editline] MtGox last trade: $42.80
Went up to $43, jesus christ what a crash folks!!!
$43.50 now. That was one hell of a nice recovery even for Bitcoin standards.
Any estimates at what it's going to settle in around, even permanently? I need to see if my mining is worth it
Any estimates at what it's going to settle in around, even permanently? I need to see if my mining is worth it
As far as I can tell you, mining it with standard PC components will not be worth it at all once the current generation of ASICs rolls out as the difficulties will spike to a stupidly high value
So what exactly can you BUY with bitcoins? This whole thing seems confusing.
As far as I can tell you, mining it with standard PC components will not be worth it at all once the current generation of ASICs rolls out as the difficulties will spike to a stupidly high value
That's too bad, will it eventually settle? And when are the new ASICs being released?
