Sony made it mandatory to change your password after the whole PSN fiasco so this affects absolutely nobody.
Unless people were extremely retarded and just put in their old passwords.

I think it checked the new password against the old just to make sure you didn't re-use it or something.
Either way, this is not Sony's fault at all, these accounts must have been abandoned, no new data was taken and it is entirely the users fault this time.
Sony fucked with linux
you don't fuck with linux
Yes and because of the crap that ensued because of its removal, I find it hard to see those kind of linux users as nothing more than spoiled brats. It was a gimped as hell version of linux, if I remember. Better off using a plain old computer if you want to run linux or something.
Going by what I read on the playstation blog, these are just passwords that have been compromised from before
people who have them are trying to use them
It's funny too because when they asked you to make a new one they straight up did not allow you to use a password registered to that account before for this very obvious reason. I guess 93,000 people don't like following instructrions.
Only retards got compromised, nothing to see here, move along folks.
Good game.
Hah, where have we heard that before?
Actually that was the DDoS
The hack was a moment of planned opportunity.
Surprisingly, its failed horribly.

Oh for fuck's sake.
Hey, everyone posting "GG Sony" or "Sony is Retarded"
READ THE FUCKING ARTICLE
Fuck I wish my PS3 wasn't still broken so I could check my account. I mean if anything is wrong I'll most likely get an email, but actually checking my PSN is more assuring.

Give me your PSN and password, I will check for you
I haven't logged on since the first big hack. Going to reconnect and see what types of shit my account is in.

They were working on making it un-gimped, and were getting closer all the time. That's why Sony removed it.
When they did, they forced people to crack the entire system wide open to make it do what they wanted instead of just cracking open Sony's implementation of Linux.
I'm a firm believer that when I buy something, it's mine and I can do whatever I want with it. These "spoiled brats" felt the same way, and I don't see what's wrong with that.
