lmao I'm still on a 560 Ti
Same lol Holding up pretty well too for being 5 years old but the 10 series will knock down prices on older cards so I might pick up a 970 or something.
My 660 is finally showing it's age and I really want to upgrade to one of these cards 45-60 fps in Dark souls 3 maxed is pretty impressive considering the card is nearly half a decade old by the time these cards come out
My 670 was starting to lag behind so I upgraded to a 980ti. It's like night and day on performance. I'm pretty sure this fucker will last me another 5 years.
If the reviews are good, I'm going to upgrade to a 1070 (or the AMD equivalent). My 660 is basically on its last legs when it comes to modern games.

(Timers end at the exact same time) Could be a link somewhere or just a coincidence EDIT: Seems to be a coincidence as amd are tweeting about the event.
Hmm, do I want to upgrade my 970 already?
Considering the next generation after Pascal will go over to HBM2 video memory. I am kind of iffy, if there's truly a need to upgrade yet at all~ I'm rolling with my 980 SLI for a little while longer, though I will carefully watch over whether or not the performance gains are astronomical or not.
Right after I buy a 980, crap
Don't worry you will be fine, for a long time. Unless you want the edge of cutting edge, that is.
Man my 980ti is ancient now! :v: In all seriousness, I think I'm going to wait till the HBM versions next year. Though from the rumors, it looks like it's going to be a significant jump in performance from the 900 series compared to 700 to 900
I was gonna get a 970 to replace my 770 2gb, but I might as well just wait and see what these bring to the table.
I'll have to stay strong and resist the urge to upgrade from my GTX970. I don't need a new GPU at all but damnit I want to upgrade just so I can put something new in there
Tis was a joke my friend.
'Twas
After the erratic performance of Rise Of The Tomb Raider (1FPS-55FPS) on my 760 I'm really looking forward to upgrading hopefully in the near future. Performance has been steadily eroding ever since the start of 2015.

It's a long time to wait.
All the 900p gamers who get this card will probably be seeing a minimum of 200FPS allover the place
I got you an 8800gt, its better because it has a higher number right?
8800GT is not better 8800GT is best 8800GT will destroy u
thats not gonna happen unless AMD does something innovative (hint: they wont. theyll just pull the pity card and complain that nvidia makes more money)
They will, it's only a question of time when amd is gonna make a comeback since they have the console market in hands, and so will be the hardware of choice for console game developers. Also, a lot will change when directx12 will become mainstream and amd's vulkan will start to kick in. But to stay on topic, it's such an awesome time to be alive to see performance skyrocket in such little time. I wonder how games will look in 10 years.
And im still rocking a GT 220... :suicide:
The antialiasing on those triangle outlines looks utter shit. Expected more from the biggest graphics company in existence
Detecting high concentrations of salt Edit: oh
Hey :(
Gonna wait and see what AMD has to offer before even thinking about going NVIDIA again. If the leaked Polaris benchmarks are anything to go by, their 480 (non-x) almost surpasses 390x performance at <130 watts and their drivers don't brick your card or crash like NVIDIA's.
Detecting high concentrations of salt Edit: oh
What's wrong with linux? Wanna fight about it?
I hope the series is named 1500-1600-1700-1800 and not 1080 and such
I hope the series is named 1500-1600-1700-1800 and not 1080 and such
That would break convention horribly.
6970 for lyfe used to have a 7970, but that crapped out, 6970 is holding up surprisingly well tho
Are we even sure it's nvidia? Polaris is AMD's thing and it's star, constellation, space related AND due out around that time.
will the nvidia 1080 be capable of doing 4k?
With DX12? At 60 frames? Yes. at 144 frames? Depends.
not even sure linux even supports salt
Hey now, linux supports NaCl through the freeFood framework. Although it doesn't support chlorine so it's kind of unstable
quad SLI required for 4K tho
But I can only get 2 with both kidneys
But I can only get 2 with both kidneys
Get more kidneys
not even sure linux even supports salt
What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact NaCl/Linux, or as I've taken to calling it, NaCl plus Linux
