The computer room on bases is sometimes referred to as 'the WoW cave'. I've once seen a Magic the Gathering kiosk on an afb with a bunch of people playing near it. Brother says they have tournaments. Brother and his shop members would play pokemon on the flightline in Yokota waiting for C-130's to break. USAF is where all the geek/nerd people go. I'm not really surprised they found this funny. Surprised it didn't happen earlier.

My ex- wanted to join the Air Force for ages, and a few folks I knew on /v/ were actually on active duty for the Air Force (or associated with the Air Force & military in some other way). Plus all sorts of different people are bronies. From the socially awkward and obnoxious to just average stable people.
