Aren't you a fucking helicopter mechanic? I think they would prioritize infantry and other fighting soldiers before the guys who hang out at base while stuff happens.
wrong, airbases are major targets for NBC attacks in the event of a major war.
wrong, airbases are major targets for NBC attacks in the event of a major war.
Would it not be more effective and cleaner to use a tactical nuke?
You do realize that CBRN attacks happen on places where there are high concentrations of soldiers as potential casualties, such as FOBs or COPs, right? When it comes to CBRN, they don't prioritize anyone. Every Soldier gets CBRN equipment. Behind me I have my promask and my JSLIST. Don't just assume that because I am on the FOB 90% of the time doesn't mean that A: I am not important, and that B: The military will gloss over me. I get better stuff than the infantry guys anyways, what with my A2CU uniform and FREE system cold weather equipment.
i shouldn't need a glossary to read posts
for someone who's "important" you seem to have to keep reaffirming it in every way possible
Would it not be more effective and cleaner to use a tactical nuke?
Cleaner is a term that only first world countries care about. Name me a single nation that we could be at war with that would care if they launched a few NBC attacks? None, because their people won't know / care. Also NBC covers Nuclear. Nuclear, Biological, Chemical. The last two being incredibly destructive but short lived enough to be able to use the area within a foreseeable time frame.
with all the money wasted on the army would think this would be out by the now ( still cool though )
Nah, im sure battle dress is all the protection I'll ever need. :v:

You could safely go there within a week.
The question is does it cost more than an aircraft carrier to make?
If so, we'll take 20. Love, Air force.
what's next, nanosuits? Hopefully this doesn't drive up the cost of uniforms.
i shouldn't need a glossary to read posts
There isn't much to learn that is important. You don't need to know what CBRN attacks are, you're an intelligent person and you can figure it out. We're in a thread about soldiers with chemical/biological hazard suits. He mentioned having one, and went on about CBRN attacks. That's it, that's all you need to know if you paid attention. Even than, what does it matter? All you need to know is that attacks happen and that's that, the only real term you need to know is FOB, but even than, that doesn't matter either, because all you need to know is "FOBs are places with high concentration of soldiers". I don't even know what the fuck CBRN or any of this shit is besides what FOB means and I understood his post fine.
Since I let a whole bunch of jargon go, I will clarify. Sorry for the confusion. CBRN: Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, Nuclear FOB: Forward Operating Base COP: Combat OutPost JSLIST: Joint Services Lightweight Integrated Suit Technology (Our chem suits) Promask: Protective Mask A2CU: Army Aviation Combat Uniform (Made of nomex and is a lot better than normal uniforms) FREE: Fire Resistant Extreme Environment (Completely interchangeable sets of inner layer and outer layer garments that are extremely warm, and fire resistant. It is extremely nice.)
