In this small-community game I'm playing (only has a few servers with players), there used to be a server owner who would ddos other servers just so that players would play on his server.

Doesn't this imply all your data would go through google's servers meaning you HAVE to trust them in respecting your security? They offer it as a protection for people with security concerns, so those people have to blindly trust google or they figured out a way in where the protection is made without any possiblity of stolen data / google being secretly a bad middleman? I have searched and there is no info or details on this, with this service they could control a lot more than they control today, its scary in a way.
