Chimpanzee meat for sale in UK restaurants and market stalls

I've had a crocodile sandwich before, it was really tough and wasn't all that tasty (it's not illegal or anything here), but Chimp meat would be fucked. Not only because of the DNA similarities, but the fact that if there's someone illegally trading chimp meat, then they're probably not handling or preparing it in a safe way, it'll probably lead to more disease outbreaks.
There's a place in my state that sells exotic meat, but it's as a resteraunt so you can't take it home and prepare it yourself. Well, hopefully this'll go the clean route the breast milk thing did, be inspected, and then let back into the industry.

It's an illegal trade. It's illegal to sell Chimp meat. Did you read the article?
Eating a Chimpanzee is almost like cannibalism, your eating one our closest relatives.

Indeed it is a monkey.
That doesn't stop it being the closest living relative to our species.
