PRECISELY What we need is a "None of the above" option on ballots.
there is one it's called not voting
there is one it's called not voting
Which solves absolutely fucking nothing. [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] Seriously how can anyone seriously think that not voting is productive.
Which solves absolutely fucking nothing.
neither does a "none of the above" option I was being facetious
I'd like to see more Independents like Bernie Sanders rise and take control of government. All this partisan insanity is getting out of hand.

WOW! I'M GLAD THEY GOT THE VIOLENT LICENSED PATIENTS AND EVIL COLUMBIAN WEED GROWERS! GO AMERICA Seriously, a small percentage of license abusers and law-abiding, tax-paying dispensaries aren't going to hurt anyone. Like a fucking weed cookie will terrorize a whole city.
I worked for a dispensary and lost my job because of this shit. We were extremely busy and business was booming, and it was a completely legitimate operation. I voted for Obama and he specifically said he would keep the DEA from raiding dispensaries (especially here in California where it has been legal since 1992). So I'm a little upset that we were basically led on by a smooth talking politician. In '08 I drank the Obama koolaid like every other misinformed 18 year old, but I'm seeing politics for what they really are, and everything is bullshit. Obama is a liar and a puppet, and being forced to vote between the lesser of two evils every 4 years is going to get very depressing. It literally doesn't matter.
I remember in 08' during school, most people were saying "Go Obama" and I asked what is he even going to do only to get "He'll bring change and hope!" as a reply. :v: Politics has always been about lying for the past few decades.
I personally find sustaining from voting a peaceful form of protest. If everyone in the nation that was truly displeased with the candidates did not vote, it would send a serious message to the government. The problem is someone still gets voted in be the electoral colleges. I wish that weren't the case, but then you'd have mob rule, which is just as bad. Voting right now is almost a damned if you do damned if you don't situation, which we shouldn't have to put up with.
dispensaries are overpriced anyway
Must be going to the wrong ones. I beg to differ.
Most ignorant comment of the thread award goes to:
dispensaries are overpriced anyway
Still waiting for a state to lose their shit and storm the dispensary after the DEA raids it to arrest DEA agents. The resulting shit storm would be GLORIOUS.
Still waiting for a state to lose their shit and storm the dispensary after the DEA raids it to arrest DEA agents. The resulting shit storm would be GLORIOUS.
It should honestly happen if the dispensary didn't do anything wrong.
It should honestly happen if the dispensary didn't do anything wrong.
Constitutionally speaking, federal authorities always take precedence over disagreements between police agencies, buuuuuut on the flip side, the marijuana restrictions violate the tenth amendment of the constitution, which is not okay. Technically the former still takes precedence over the latter, but at this point the feds violate so much shit that who really cares. A few states need to start heavily resisting the expansion of federal authority. We are supposed to be a union of states, not a country with states for ease of governance.

If they're violating they 10th amendment, shouldn't the be detained, even if they rule over the police?

Constitutional violations are determined later by the supreme court, but unlike normal laws, violating the constitution carries no penalty. Which has always struck me as odd. Granted it is incredibly difficult to determine guilt in that case, but it seems like violating the highest law in the land should have serious repercussions for anyone who voted for the law which violates it. If our country was operating as it was designed to, this wouldn't be as large of an issue, but we have made some unfortunate alterations to the dynamics of our government and caused something of an upset as a result.
