And all iPhones have worse specs because they never need good specs to have spectacular performance. An 800mhz dual core processor with 512mb of ram is not that great, but it is enough for the 4S.
And then when the argument comes up that the iPhone is faster, despite having a slower processor, the gets to go like this: "the iPhone is faster than the S3..." 'No, it quite literally isn't, not with that hardware.' *scoff* "The iPhone's software is simply streamlined for the hardware, it doesn't need all that extra stuff to be better than the S3."
What makes it better than the Galaxy S III? Another shard of glass on top of the others?
My sister got the S3 a few days ago, it's really fucking good, Apple is really falling behind, their software feels so archaic now.
If the iPhone actually did have these features, and managed to somehow have the technology to make fucking 3D holograms, then it'd definitely blow every phone, hell, every major piece of technology, out of the water. Thing is, that technology isn't going to happen for a very long time.
instead, the iphone 5 will have a smaller frame, camera, 1 gb more data (for 10$), it'll be 25% faster and have no multitasking, flash, and now will have slightly better connection to wifi

That being said, the iPhone 4S is nowhere near the power of the SIII, but honestly, I don't care how fast my phone is, as long as everything runs smoothly.
At least they are making it 4" or something instead of FUCKING 3.5"
I've always known that the iPhone and Galaxy phones have been competing a lot lately, but I've never considered getting a Galaxy phone until now. Honestly I was planning on getting an iPhone in the near future but that Galaxy S III looks damn sexy. And it's a Droid!
One of the main problems I would have with it, other than a) it comes out a month after I will upgrade (and I am not going to wait for it) and b) it will be much more expensive, is that, assuming it is better, I still hate the fact I would have to use iTunes. I prefer android and just copy + paste onto the drive. So much simpler. iTunes and iOS is really for those who don't like that (and apple fans). I will probably get the SIII, if not that then either the One X or One S.

Well wasn't the 4S a huge middle finger to everyone who bought the iPhone 4? I mean when the 4 came out, there were a ton of phones with dual-cores that even came out earlier. I you see this 4S with a much better screen and a dual core processor. The only thing the 5 can do is probably put more ram and maybe a quad core?

The Foxconn CEO puts himself to shame.
Wait for it to have revolutionary new features, such as 2 MICROPHONES WOAH called MultiTalk, discovered, invented and trademarked by apple meaning nobody else can have 2 microphones because it is apples amazing idea nobody would possible think of without copying apple
iPhone 5 is coming, reported to be better than phones released before it. Oh my god so surprised holy shit
All new models are developed for 1 week then released Logic
I use a hd2 with ICS as well as an iphone 4. And I don't really like my droid phone. I like the larger screen, I like the fact that I can tether with it without getting charged, but there's just something always clunky and off putting with almost every single application. I dunno. I've never had any issue with my iphone personally and I've yet to see a android phone that I like as much as my iphone. My iphone is just cleaner and neater than my android phone and if I'm going to be spending as much time carrying around a phone and using it like I do almost constantly I want it to not have issues.

If I got the orgional iPhone and put it up against an SII even, it would suck. You would have to compare phones from the same generation.
i'm getting a galaxy s3 as soon as i'm eligible for an upgrade. next year.
but the galaxy s17 will probably be out by then
No it isn't. It's listed right on the right with all the summarised information.
I mentioned in my first post that I just did a quick scan for resolution, meaning I hit ctrl+f, -> resolution -> that's what I found. Those sentences didn't have resolution in them and were such a mess of numbers that I missed it by eye.
“I respect the Japanese and especially like their execution and communication styles,” Gou said, “Unlike the Koreans, they will not hit you from behind.”
This made me laugh far too much.
looking at the comments on the article is so funny, yet so enraging at the same time :v:

The first smartphone with a dual core processor was the LG Optimus 2X unveiled on December 16, 2010. That's over 6 months after the release of the iPhone 4. If you're going to hate on Apple, hate on them for legitimate reasons. The only phone faster than the iPhone 4 around its launch was the original Galaxy S that utilised the same Hummingbird core. .
I've been using an iPhone for years, and I'm getting tired of it. I'll probably be getting the S III for my birthday just for something new. I'd get it sooner but even with a contract upgrade and a mail in rebate it's $200.
shamefrul display ovf shvere imcompretence
Well I was just wondering how it feels to run a city of indentured servants, completely disregard business ethics and competition, and be some kind of weird ethnocentric fuckface but yeah we can definitely make fun of him for being Asian too.

You would have to compare phones from the same generation.
I guess that's probably a good point. I just feel like there are so many "little" things that happen with android phones that don't happen with iphones. I guess the drawback to apple in general VS the equivalent of their products is with apple I have the exact same functional experience every time . I never have slow downs, laggy apps, crashes, lock ups, etc. Now, mind you my phone is the only thing I like this kind of experience with. My motorcycle I pretty much hauled out of a trash can when I got it and its been a real project but I've got it running damn well. My car is plagued with amiable problems that I love to fix and maintain. I built and am constantly tinkering with my pc and adding new parts, you know? Its just my phone that I feel that every time I want to do something with it while I'm out and about it should work 100% of the time. I don't feel like I get that on android.
At least they are making it 4" or something instead of FUCKING 3.5"
kind of outdated article but I can honestly see apple's point of view from this: http://gizmodo.com/5847981/this-is-why-the-iphones-screen-will-always-be-35-inches and before you ask; no, I don't think the iphone is objectively superior I just think there's some benefits to having a smaller screen in addition to the drawbacks.

That green is probably the low end of somebody's thumb reach. My thumb can make it all the way to the far corner of the screen. I think I may have trouble with a 4.8" screen, and certainly would with one like the note's.
This is funny and sad at the same time. Every single time Apple comes out with an iPhone that they label as "revolutionary", it's already behind the curve. It happened with the 3GS, the 4, and the 4S, it'll happen with the 5, or whatever they end up calling the 6th iPhone. Even then I tend to hold my phone in one hand and use my other finger to do stuff anyway, though.
