If someones going to be giving blood, don't they get tested for diseases and shit anyways? I really don't see why someones sexual orientation should segregate them from other people when it comes to things like blood tests.

I don't see the problem with banning people that have a high risk of having hiv, i don't care what race or sexual orientation the person have. As long as there is a big risk a restriction should be in place, so it's not passed onto other innocent people. It's of course good that they remove the ban when there is a lower risk.

That's very, very few compared to how many lives could be saved by the increased amount of blood.

I was disappointed to find out that this ban lifting doesn't apply to the USA.
