Russians just occupied Crimea, and now they are sending forces to the eastern. From what I've read on Mass Media, they just want to calm down anarchists and hopefully noone will get hurt and war has to be not declared at all. G7(8) just make it worse though.
What you believe russia? Are you some kind of sick commie? I was joking by the way. I too believe the best case scenario is for everybody to stay calm and wait for the various referendums.
Well there has been no indication of anarchist/nazi action anywhere in the East or Crimea so far, not that we're aware of?
My proposition is Russia wants to take the Ukraine's situation under control with most forces just to pull down the attempts of people who go against government, again, Maidan actions(?).
What you believe russia? Are you some kind of sick commie?
I don't believe Russia's side nor G8's side. I just believe that the government of the country will handle thing themselves, but unfortunately, they have the least to get into the action. And I am not a commie.
Well we're way too late for that :v: It's actually very uneasy that nobody knows what Putin wants to achieve.
Well we're way too late for that :v: It's actually very uneasy that nobody knows what Putin wants to achieve.
Control and a show of power?
Control and a show of power?
You can do the same thing with joint military exercises. There absolutely must be something more to it.
That source. You might as well start posting RT
Well to sum my opinion up accurately, I don't want war neither with Russia or any other, I just want things to be calm in peace. That's it.
That source. You might as well start posting RT
While it is a entity of the Russian government it is not very bias as far as media goes. They won't openly deny things like RT will, it's not an opinion piece. Compared to domestic Russian media it is reliable.
maybe if ukraine wasn't a shithole
Russia is probably worse than Ukraine.
Russia is probably worse than Ukraine.
Based off? Ukeraine is mega poor, there was talk of defaulting.
As to this situation and the eventual outcome, I'm not sure exactly how I feel. I really just want there to be minimal or no bloodshed. Too many people have died.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance
That's still irrelevant. I'm not the fucking Israeli president nor do I support what's happening in Palestine, how was bringing it up anything more than a childish backhanded insult?
That's still irrelevant. I'm not the fucking Israeli president nor do I support what's happening in Palestine, how was bringing it up anything more than a childish backhanded insult?
A good point. The guy who originally brought it up was being a dick. I retract what I said, and offer an apology to you.
I almost want to call BS, all those cities have been very quiet until now. Not only that, but this gives Putin a free pass to push out of Crimea and "protect Ethnic Russians." there as well.
Not that surprising - again I'd recommend you take a look at the last elections.
Based off? Ukeraine is mega poor, there was talk of defaulting.
I don't know about Ukeraine, but Ukraine is far from a shithole
No one said Crimea shouldn't be part of Russia if the people of Crimea want to be. People are saying Crimea shouldn't be part of Russia because Russia has landed troops there and there were no democratic votes on what should be done with the place.
There was also no democratic vote that put the new Ukrainian government in charge either.
Based off? Ukeraine is mega poor, there was talk of defaulting.

Ukeraine
[t]http://i.imgur.com/CQVaFXA.jpg[/t] Joke Explanation: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=uke
I don't know about Ukeraine, but Ukraine is far from a shithole
This is probably the only description I will take about Ukraine, seeing as Laserbeams person actually fucking lives there.
Just going "It's the will of the people" is a crap excuse. Sometimes people are stupid and act against their own best interest, and just saying "Well, only they can say what is best for them." is dishonest because people will readily opt to do something that is genuinely and blatantly bad for them for stupid reasons. So just because its the will of the people doesn't mean its not fucking dumb.
People should be allowed to take dumb decisions if they want to. Democracy is all about doing what people want, not what's the most efficient. And really this doesn't even apply here. This isn't "blatantly bad" for them.

A majority in a democratic system can vote to curb the rights of a minority in a democratic system, hell it has happened time and time again and still happens regularly. California voting to ban gay marriage. Sure, great, the majority voted for it. They're also fucking idiots and I give them no credence. "Hey, we'll vote for measures that will blatantly hurt the lower classes, a group a large portion of the country is part of and there is a good chance we are part of, and doing so will provide no substantive benefits elsewhere in the system. Good idea." Not every decision is good in a democratic system, and some are outright bad. Its not that I don't know how it works, I just don't care.
Someone should get that $5 video guy to make a speech about how Russia is the former land of Ukraine and it needs to be liberated in order to save Ukrainian people from the Russian fascists. Would be just as legitimate as this politicians claim.

Democracy is the rule when it comes to questions like this.
