I'll take it anyway and post it too. edit Hey that other one can't be THAT inaccurate since my results were nearly the same on both.
You know Political Compass is more accurate because I lean more to the authoritarian side. See I admit it. On a side note, wonk, I just stared at your avatar for 5 seconds and I can't get the animation out of my head :tinfoil:
I assumed it would be since there are way more questions and more answers and that "How much do you give a shit" meter under each question.
I assumed it would be since there are way more questions and more answers and that "How much do you give a shit" meter under each question.
For every current topic I selected the bubble at the far right.

I'm just a couple of ticks closer to the center. Which was one of the reasons I think it was a bad test. I'm all for intervention elsewhere. :P
wtf i think ill take this test again
On a side note, wonk, I just stared at your avatar for 5 seconds and I can't get the animation out of my head :tinfoil:
likewise
I'm all for intervention elsewhere. :P
I used to be imperialistic like that until I realized that forcing your morality on other people politically is no different than people who do it religiously
This topic went from discussing Israel to flaming kevn150 to comparing political stances. Anyone else feel like going back on topic?

Yeah let's get back on track. Israel is an apartheid.
Israel's being a dick
Yes, and the lack of BurnEmDown is disturbing.
Yeah let's get back on track. Israel is an apartheid.
Wait what? Israelis and Palestinians look exactly alike. How can there be an apartheid, which is founded on looks?
Hey BurnEmDown, the Netanyahu administration is full of corrupt racist assholes! [editline]01:50AM[/editline] if that won't make him come nothing will [editline]01:51AM[/editline]

Yeah let's get back on track. Hutu and the Tutsi don't look that different, which is what I was saying
BurnEmDown should be waking up soon now anyways
BurnEmDown should be waking up soon now anyways
It's noon in Israel. I'm about to go to sleep, so sorry if I'm not here to help BurnEmDown. Have fun with the ridiculing.
I used to be imperialistic like that until I realized that forcing your morality on other people politically is no different than people who do it religiously
I'm not a huge fan of direct intervention except to prevent huge unnecessary massacres. Mostly I prefer diplomatic intervention and puppeteering by the CIA. Stuff has a way of eventually finding its way to our doorstep in one form or another. Best to address it, rather than wait for it to show up.
Preventing massacres is a bit different than "promoting democracy", which is pretty much the only intervention that's been going on recently. The massacres seem to get ignored.
I find a great deal of amusement in our campaign of promoting democracy when we haven't even figured it out ourselves. Now granted if there is a promising revolution with solid leadership brewing in a nation being lead by a dictator, I am not opposed to bankrolling it to a degree (hardware, funds, and training. No human support aside from the instructors). It's a fast and comparatively cheap way to gain a strong ally in a region. But frankly they could be communist at the end of it. I don't really care provided the new government is less likely to run rape camps and shoot political dissidents. The French did it for the United States in the revolutionary war. Revolutions have a much better chance when you have a little help.
The French did it for the United States in the revolutionary war. Revolutions have a much better chance when you have a little help.
If the people are revolting and express a need for help, sure. Send them some help if they seem like they'd make for an ally. But forcing democracy on a group of people who don't want or need it is counterproductive.
So Jews get kicked out and have all of their stuff burned to the ground in 1948 by the Jordanians and are in turn restricted all access to holy sites. The Jews take it back in 1967 and instead of burning everything to the ground and kicking them out of the region, they offer citizenship status to everyone willing to become one, and residency status to everyone who doesn't as well as offering access to holy sites. Now they are bulldozing buildings of non-citizens (who have had half a century to become citizens) who lack proper permits and taking land back that they own anyways?
Actually only Arabs in Israel's lands given to them by the UN in '48 were allowed to become citizens. Arabs in the land annexed by Israel in its independence war and the occupied territories, the West Bank and Gaza, were never offered citizenship. If it would have happened then there would have been like 55% Jews and 40% Arabs, and there would be an Arab majority pretty quickly. [editline]01:40PM[/editline]
What the hell... GunFox? As a moderator you shouldn't even be allowed to perpetuate such filth on this forum. United Nations Security Council Resolution 242 (after the 67' war) explicitly calls for a It's internationally called "Occupied land" for a reason. I'm appalled that you would actually say they have right to that land and are entitled to bulldoze homes there and build their own settlements on occupied land. Something which the fourth Geneva convention from 1949 that mentions Yes, Israel cites security reasons for the demoltion of homes, but it's so obviously questionable by the frequency they do it, especially when you take the article's account. Also why are you adamantly in favor for Israel's right to self-defense and self-determination, but yet you blame the house demoltions on the Palestinians for choosing not to become citizens of a foreign occupier? Are they not entitled to their own self-determination? You look like such hypocrite, seriously. And again before even defending the demolitions, you demonize the Palestinians for something the Jordanians did in era of brutality where crimes were committed by every side.
I just want to ask, why did the UN only condemn occupying the West Bank and Gaza when Israel occupied them? They have been in foreign hands 20 years before Israel got them, and the UN or anyone else didn't say one word about it. [editline]01:59PM[/editline]
Yeah we should round them up and send them to an island so they can have their own community... wait By your logic we should also get rid of challenged people and people with disabilities since some of them can't contribute to USAs success either.
If I was supporting his view, I would say that these people didn't choose to be an unproductive member of society, unlike criminals, but then came this post:
No, people who subtract from USA's success shouldn't be given rights.
:eng99: [editline]02:04PM[/editline]
um yes that is pretty fascist at this point you're either trolling or i don't even
Actually it's not really a fascist.
I just want to ask, why did the UN only condemn occupying the West Bank and Gaza when Israel occupied them? They have been in foreign hands 20 years before Israel got them, and the UN or anyone else didn't say one word about it.
The further and further we go back in time, the less civility we're going to find. The UN wasn't founded till' 1945 so they couldn't condemn something when they weren't around obviously. But if you're refering to the Jordan annexation of the West Bank that was only recognized by one country the UK. I have reason to believe that was condemned by the UN as an illegal occupation, I'll try finding something, but please understand it's difficult to find things very early in the history of the UN. You can try and discredit the UN as much as you wish, but the fact remains your country owes its existence to it.
