Again. Just because I'm a history major does not mean I know EVERY FUCKING ASPECT about history.
you're making this seem like it's the intricate details of the lives polynesian fishermen prior to the 1600s
what happened to the native americans is a huge fucking detail, and as a history major, especially one in the united states you should know about it
fear not though, i would say the same thing if the topic was the second world war or whatever you favour your 'area of expertise'

Living in the US != Expert in US history.
Besides. I said I was a history MAJOR. Meaning I do NOT have a degree in history.
Christ, I hope EVERYONE here forgives me for this god damn imperfection.
You've used conservative as a insult more times than I can count
so?

uh, isn't that what you're working towards
[editline]12:12AM[/editline]
If he were a Canadian, perhaps there would be more emphasis on native americans.
what
so?
You're not refuting it, so I'm assuming you're agreeing that you throw "conservative" out at me as an insult.
As an insult.
Insult.
And you don't insult people you like. Thus, you dislike me.

cancel your history classes and take some reading comprehension classes
then respond to what i said adequately
uh, isn't that what you're working towards
Working towards != There
what
must gather thoughts before posting

Anyway how about we stop paying attention to Scorp's ass and actually talk about the subject at hand
If he were a Canadian, perhaps there would be more emphasis on native americans.
well that's a result of having a better developed schooling system
but as a history major it's kind of assumed you have at least an above average idea of history
what do you even study scorpious?
Working towards != There
I know that, but haven't you learned about the Native Americans..?
My extent of american indian history doesn't go any farther than the trail of tears.

Ancient Rome :hist101:
And medieval history.
Scorpious is acting extremely defensive.
I know that, but haven't you learned about the Native Americans..?
I said "weak". Not "non-existant".
Canadian history is much more up front about what happened to their native americans
Scorpious is acting extremely defensive.
Because it was an our right insult at me this time, not a refute of any statement.
Scorpious is acting extremely defensive.
because people are attacking him over some irrelevant shit
Ancient Rome :hist101:

ew, everyone studies ancient rome
i mean ancient rome is great and all, but it's not like there's a whole lot of untreaded ground
oh well, i have to commend you though. i had you pegged for one of those people who study the intricacies of ww2
I know that, but haven't you learned about the Native Americans..?
I imagine they largely ignore all that, myself
also, why is everyone teaming up on Scorp? it's kinda ridiculous
Because it was an our right insult at me this time, not a refute of any statement.
gotta pick your battles

Ugh, nearly every fucking other history major I meet is one of those. They drive me nuts.
They think the world began, then WWII happened.
I prefer WWI much more anyways.

meh, i've never been much for ww1.
what pisses me off about ww2 history majors is it's always the western front this, the italian front this, blah blah blah
who gives a shit about the western front?
the eastern front was some of the craziest shit the world has ever seen. fuck, the entire invasion force that landed in italy is dwarfed by a few midsized battles on the eastern front.

That statement can apply to the first world war as well.
"WWI" "Oh, that was boring. It just had trenches". It's complete garbage, hearing that.
They don't even talk about the battles that raged in the colonies of Africa, or Asia. Fuck, does anyone even know that Japan entered WWI on the Allies side, and actually sent a destroyer into the Mediterranean to aid the British against the Turks and Austrians? I doubt it.

the ottoman factor was probably the coolest part about ww1 if you ask me. you had the english working with the arabs and the germans trying to work with the arabs and persians.
but i'm not really all that familiar on what happened in the african colonies
it's what happened after ww1 that's more of interest to me. the revolutions, fascism, communism, the complete remaking of european borders

To me, the whole thing just puts me in awe. Not just the war, but everything that led up to it, and everything that fell apart after it.
In a strange sense, it's almost beautiful how amazing it played out, if that makes any sense.
