I'm actually Japanese.
Say a full random sentence in Japanese then.
Say a full random sentence in Japanese then.
私は実際に日本人ではない。
私は実際に日本人ではない。
I'm on to you
Well if they are returning them that easily without checking twice, obviously they didn't care about the products in the first place to even memorize the differences.
The thing has samsung printed on it... The entire interface is different... How? How do functional adults drop over a hundred dollars on a product without properly checking what it actually is?
But if I stop to think that's less time I have for buying shit!!
I'm sorry, do people just walk into a store and buy things now, without even looking? Do they look at their feet and just put random shit in their cart or basket and go to the cashier, and surprise themselves when they get home? No. No one does that. Not even blind people do that
I'm gonna go ahead and think the bestbuy thing was staged by apple's PR or something because nobody's that stupid
I'm gonna go ahead and think the bestbuy thing was staged by apple's PR or something because nobody's that stupid
You'd be surprised.
I'm gonna go ahead and think the bestbuy thing was staged by apple's PR or something because nobody's that stupid
what
wait so we're denying the idea that Samsung might be trying to advertise their product as a cheap alternative to the iPad?
Samsung even had a number of reports from Best Buy stating that customers were returning Samsung’s Galaxy tablets because when they bought them, they thought they were getting iPads.
i think it's a little dumb to assume the absolute literal meaning of this sentence. i think it's much more likely the article writer means that people were buying a cheap alternative with the same set of features.
i think it's a little dumb to assume the absolute literal meaning of this sentence. i think it's much more likely the article writer means that people were buying a cheap alternative with the same set of features.
Than returning it because it wasn't exactly like an Ipad? Still fucking retarded in a completely different way.
I'm gonna go ahead and think the bestbuy thing was staged by apple's PR or something because nobody's that stupid
You must have never worked retail.
Than returning it because it wasn't exactly like an Ipad?
especially in America Apple has their foot in the door when it comes to media and people's perception. everything is measured up to Apple. if you wanna advertise a product as beating Apple you have to watch closely. Samsung is trying to out-edge Apple by making a cheap iPad. believed it or not not everyone spends their time on tech sites dissecting different tablet models, so some people are gonna get confused. calling that retarded isn't really doing anything except stroking your own ego over your knowledge of tablet minutia.
calling that retarded isn't really doing anything except stroking your own ego over your knowledge of tablet minutia.
Whatever, pot. If you're going to spend large sums of money on a product with absolutely no knowledge of it than you are a retard.

Same goes with cars: if you can't tell the difference between a Ford and a Chevy, something's VERY wrong.
Whatever, pot. If you're going to buy a product with absolutely no knowledge of it than you are a retard.
what knowledge is there to have? the iPad is out, cool i want one. hey here's a CHEAPER iPad made by us that's just as good. cool i'll take it and it's then, not than
what knowledge is there to have? the iPad is out, cool i want one. hey here's a CHEAPER iPad made by us that's just as good. cool i'll take it and it's then, not than
Note that cheaper =/= always better. Android has its flaws too.
if you can't tell the difference between a Ford and a Chevy, something's VERY wrong.
or maybe Ford is making a car that has the same features and general look of Chevy? [editline]28th July 2012[/editline]
Note that cheaper =/= always better.
when you have two products that are comparable yet one's cheaper, you can bet a lot of people are gonna gravitate towards the cheaper one.
and it's then, not than
Another ego stroke mister doesn't capitalise and brutally rapes punctuation. Also I reserve the right to judge morons for their blatant and misinformed purchasing of products, it's especially funny because they returned them and were unsatisfied with their purchases because they are dumb and didn't even apparently glance at the box to see the word 'Samsung' written directly on it.
Also I reserve the right to judge morons
sure, but reading the same patronizing remark just gets boring. my mum always did say the ultimate sin was being boring.
or maybe Ford is making a car that has the same features and general look of Chevy?
But does it have the exact same quality as a Chevy? In the end, it all comes down to brand preference. If you want something by Apple, then look for the Apple product and don't be stupid by thinking that some random Samsung is an Apple tablet.
Another ego stroke mister doesn't capitalise and brutally rapes punctuation.
this makes me giggle because you wrote a giant run-on sentence under this one.
Whatever, pot. If you're going to buy a product with absolutely no knowledge of it than you are a retard.
Not necessarily a retard, just mis or uninformed. I have a feeling that a good portion of the people who bought the Samsung tablets thinking them to be Apple iPads were probably old and tech illiterate people. They probably didn't know that the Samsung tablet wasn't an iPad. Hey, they kind of look the same so they must be the same, is probably the mentality of said people. This isn't "retarded" on their end. You can't really blame them for being oblivious. What can you blame them for is not asking some helper employee at the store "is this an iPad?" It's ok that they didn't know the difference, but I kind of find it hard to believe that they'd buy a tablet without an employee giving them lots of info. I bought a new tv at Best Buy yesterday and there were employees helping customers pretty much everywhere explaining stuff to them. They even made sure I had the right cables and what not, of course I did but they just asked to make sure the tv would hook up most likely and so that I wouldn't come back bitching. Anyways, I wouldn't blame Samsung here. The blame lies on the customers and employees in my opinion.
But does it have the exact same quality as a Chevy?
most american consumers don't understand or care about minute differences in quality. this is how advertising works. it's why Samsung doesn't advertise with the deep inner-mechanics of Android in contrast with iOS. it's also why Apple doesn't advertise by contrasting its operating system features with Windows.
most american consumers don't understand or care about minute differences in quality.
When you're dealing with something that could kill you if something fucks up, you would give a shit about it.
When you're dealing with something that could kill you if something fucks up, you would give a shit about it.
we're talking about tablets dude

You're a joke.
we're talking about tablets dude
Battery fires Explosions Electrocution All three of which could threaten your life. I'd sacrifice a few extra bucks to not die instead of dying due to cheap shit. Get my point?
You're a joke.
thank you, i'll be here all week
