Happening right now: Apple to announce iPhone 5, new iPods, probably other stuff
if siri isn't on the iPod Touch 4g I will murder someone
Who even uses siri seriously? I see it as a gimmick you try out for a few minutes or show your friends and then turn off .
Phone looks ok, still pretty much just a 4s though. The touch looks pretty good though, I'm liking the white one.
What's new? Looking at the iPhone 5 and touch, it looks the exact same except a bit taller, as well as more memory. Any significant improvements?
Touch is vastly better.
More lawsuits with Apple in 3, 2, 1...
the aesthetics seems off to me, I prefer silver or golden ratios when it comes to anything I hold in my hand most of the time besides a remote.
And the difference between the American and European iPod Touch is 90 euros(~120 dollar). What the fuck are you doing Apple...
So...
There saying the new iTouch is a dual core A5 Processor,
but the iphone 5 is a A6 if i'm not mistaken.
Guys I just managed to get an exclusive pic of the new iPod Nano!

Seems...
...legit...
:v:
wtf apple, the galaxy s3 still has a bigger screen
$300 bucks for the new iPod Touch?! I could get a Nexus 7 and have money to spare for Xmas presents!
Sidenote: If that's how much the new one costs, my 2nd Gen Touch is probably worth at the most, $50. :(

Bigger =/= better.

Iphone does more background processing.
What's up with companies making their products thinner and thinner? It's getting ridiculous.

Iphone 10 @ 32nm thick

Nexus 7 was built and priced so the point is not to make a large profit but to provide a device at what it's worth. The Nexus 7 is an amazing tablet, it will play the best high end games for the next couple of years.

because it's a phone that's meant to go into your pocket and the smaller it is the more convenient it can be? (to an extent of course)
I wish they'd reach the limit to how small/thin these things are and they'd just up the specs. I'd love a 150€ Ipod that has 64 GB of memory or something like that.
Everything looks cool but I'm sorry the iPod Nano UI design looks, I don't know, ugly?

because: consumer wants it and thin looks good, sleek and healthy.
I read up on product design in a Business course, just so you know, thin looking packaging/products look better and sell more than others that look fat, giving the impression that thin is always better, hence being healthier, etc. It's consumer and marketing stuff like that, the consumers want it to not look fat because the marketing team knows consumers want it. It's a cycle.
oh man i love how the engadget livebloggers make fun of the apple drones in the audience

Engadget is the best electronics blog out there. It's got the quantity of content of something like Gizmodo without all of the absolutely shit writing and bias.

Gizmodo has legitimate content???
wow i hadnt really noticed until now, but the lumia is one goddamn beautiful phone
just wish it had a smaller bezel on the bottom part there (or if that those were softkeys)
You're looking for the N9 and the new models. I really thought it was a shame about the Lumia 800 - it was simply an N9 adapted to use WP7, and I honestly think they should have done some redesigning first. It's not nearly as bad in person, though, and the new Lumia models totally make up for it. I would've liked Nokia to keep the MeeGo running, it was beautiful.

the day apple made an ugly design
9/12 never forget
If The Verge weren't so biased towards Apple it would be the best.
Engadget is just a complete shitstain, their articles are usually terrible.
The Verge has a curve towards Apple but I'm not sure I've seen it curve away from Android or Microsoft or whatever.
[editline]12th September 2012[/editline]
There really is no such thing as an unbiased news source, though.
Except for maybe Wikipedia.
To be honest, I like The Verge, it covers a bunch of stuff on all platforms, even TVs, cameras and such. The coverage per even will vary of course but in general The Verge is the least biased of them all.
Just read this thread and I compared my lumia to the new iPod nano design and holy fuck you guys are right, jesus apple that was obvious
wat

I meant number of articles posted.
And people are right, The Verge is probably the best for writing.
