I want to consider the movie canon, so they'd better not touch Sheppard, or any other chars from the game.

This movie shouldn't be about Shepard and the game story since Bioware has said before that that is "the player's story" though I'm not sure what kind of agreement they have so they could end up just butchering the game's story. If this goes through I hope it is good and if not then I don't think it will be any great loss at this point in time.

I'm going to make a few predictions about this movie, let's see how many come true. The story will be based around either Shepard fighting the Reapers or someone related to Shepard in the Reaper conflict. If it's about Shepard, it will be a modified version of the story in the games and will follow an alternate route with just the good bits. If it's someone else; they won't be just a satelite around Shepard following in his footsteps, they will play a significant part and have just as much badass as Shepard. There will be Aliens; Turians, Asari, Quarians, Krogan, Geth. Maybe Salarian, Hanar or Elcor but don't get your hopes up. There will be large beautiful environments; the Citidel is just far too nice to not remake for the movie and the ability to create any planet to serve your purposes means they can choose anything they think looks good. There will be violence; this is an sci-fi action movie and is bound to have more than half of the movie either involving massive CGI violence or taking place during massive CGI violence. It will be well written. I'm not saying any of the people they recruited are particularly good, it's just that they have such an amazing environment to work with and Bioware is involved to make sure they don't cock up one of their major franchises. It's very possible to fuck it up, but hopefuly EA and Bioware will step in if it looks like shit.

I really think they should do it all in CGI, but dang good CGI like the final fantasy movies or Beowolf. Keep all the voice actors from the games, make the on screen characters look the same as the games too.
