I realize several people have mentioned Mass Effect, but I'm deadly serious when I say that I had a prophecy.

I saw the cutscene, it is possible to beat them using conventional weapons. I don't know which of us is going to be Shepard's ancestor, but if we all do it this way and get that EMS to max right away, we've got this.

they are just nowhere near us.
Our system is empty of space fairing races apart from us on earth
the best we could hope for aliens are bacteria on mars and maybe some aquatic lifeforms on that one moon around jupiter
