A blue shell would've taken care of him.
here we go
more common example would be the gumball rallys in the early/mid 2000's, especially the ones that went through europe, although I believe they've "calmed down" a bit now.
First I looked at 180 and was not surprised. Then I saw mph.
they should swap those around
He stole a car, justice system depicts he should be jailed for around 7-8 years
I don't think he should have had a longer ban. It's a dumb thing to do, but it's not worth ruining his chances of getting a job when he's out for.
https://www.west-midlands.police.uk/airops/helicopter/ The max speed is 140 knots. (161 mph/ 259 km/h) So wow, he really was able to outpace the helicopter at max speed. The helicopter also pulls double duty as a casualty transport vehicle, which may explain why a relatively slow, and fairly expensive, helicopter is used for police duty. EDIT: Oh nevermind, for its size that is an average max speed.
The judge can call it appalling all he likes, but if managed to successfully drive that fast in those areas then fucking well played, credit where credit is due.
Nine years? Holy fucking shit. I know a guy who stabbed another guy and slashed his face, and he only got 3 years in jail. The U.K justice system seems to be a little fucked up. You can get the same sentence for carrying a knife than you can if you actually stab someone with it. But NINE YEARS for this? Wow.

Driving offenses do get weird sentancing sometimes, though.
"carriageway"
"carriageway"
Don't get carried away.
Ha, that's nothing. Just today I was doing 220mph in rockport. He's luck they didn't use rhinos
"carriageway"
Yes.
too sloe (sorry but it was stronger than me)
Wow, you need quite a good car to outrun a police helicopter then.
Not necessarily, most helicopters that the police have available top out around 150-160MPH. Their main advantage is the fact that they don't have to follow the road like you do.
kinda odd that you put mph in the title when it happened in the uk
Yep. We also buy our petrol in litres but measure consumption by the gallon. YOLO!
kinda odd that you put mph in the title when it happened in the uk
we mix metric and imperial to confuse foreigners
