• Sony to abandon DualShock design for PS4

Good dualshock is outdated. It's too small imo.
hopefully it'll look like this, a true masterclass of design sadly gone before its time
I don't get it. Nobody on the floor actually held it, for all we know it could be pretty comfortable.
I have a solution for you.
Too bad it has a pig disgusting d-pad.
The D-pad seems like it could be replaced. It almost exclusively gets used as an additional four buttons, rather than for navigation.
there are [editline]18th January 2013[/editline] tons of them
They aren't very good though.
Fix that D-Pad and then it'll be god tier controller.
Xbox Dpad is disgustingly bad for fighting games, yet dualshock is godly
its common knowledge that u dont use the xbox dpad for anything whatsoever
Xbox Dpad is disgustingly bad for fighting games, yet dualshock is godly
Nothing compares to Nintendo D pads. GameCube/GBA Era pads are wonderful. The new ones are great still.

I thought it would be weird to hold with the BYXA buttons on the bottom. Is this the case?
The Razer Onza controller has (to me) the best D-Pad
I could never stand the convex sticks.
Doesn't matter what they do. I never buy official controllers anyway, they are just so over priced. Unless they add a built in turbo button and 20 extra buttons that do nothing, I'm sticking with MadCatz
I thought it would be weird to hold with the BYXA buttons on the bottom. Is this the case?
Not at all, it's very comfortable and works great with shooters. Just takes a little getting used to.
Sony sure is making some brilliant decisions recently [/sarcasm] I suppose this is alright though as long as they don't try to make another banana
You know, I'm torn between ideas... I'd like Sony to come up with a new, maybe better design (somehow) for their controller, but at the same time, want them to keep the old design which imo has nothing wrong, and also want them to have a x360 style controller, or something extremely close to it. The 360 controller is really really confortable. Probably not my first pick for a few kinds of games like beat-em-ups where it's bulkiness doesn't allows access to all the buttons by almost all fingers, but in general, it's pretty confortable. The Dual Shock is not as confortable, but by all means it isn't bad at all. It's actually quite good, but I would want to see a new design. Basically, if its a better design, both in looks and ergonomics and so on, I'd probably embrace it. If not, please don't fuck what isn't fucked, because this controller still does a lot of things other controllers can't, and probably will never do right. OR, or... Offer a new design, and also keep the old design, even if at a price, like having it as a side accessory not included on the main console package.
Fix that D-Pad and then it'll be god tier controller.
This for example. The Playstation D-Pad is downright perfect. I've never liked those D-Pads that look like a whole button.
The only current problem with Dualshock 3 design is this: It's really annoying because your fingers slip out of the trigger. Why wouldn't they make the triggers concave?
I really liked the 360 controller because it was easy to use the right and left sticks and press X, Y, B, A or the D-pad at the same time, it's a little more slippery on the dualshock3
The D-pad seems like it could be replaced. It almost exclusively gets used as an additional four buttons, rather than for navigation.
Personally I prefer navigating menus with the dpad instead of the analog stick, But that's the only time I really use it.
I never liked the 360 controller, too big and bulky for my hands.
do you work in a carnival
Do those have different pressure levels aswell? But, quite a few of them? And I never understood the six-axis deal...
no, they're just like the R/L 2 buttons on the dualshock 2 but more retarded.
Well, when Sony made the dumbass move of removing rumble when the PS3 was first released, people made enough uproar about it that we got it back. If we don't like the new design, perhaps we can make them change and give us a better one or the DualShock again.
do you work in a carnival
I had a huge crusade against the xbox 360 controller until I actually tried it, it fit comfortably in my hands. The reason I had such prejudice against it is because of Xbox 1's controller: Jesus christ that thing was huge.
Good dualshock is outdated. It's too small imo. I don't get it. Nobody on the floor actually held it, for all we know it could be pretty comfortable.
looks like something designed to provide both anal and vaginal pleasure

Good, dualshock is shit.
