Y'know, the way they'd go about it would probably be in a documentary film-style, chronicling the species evolution from the first cell in the primordial soup, to the finale when their flagship gets to the centre of the Galaxy, gains the Staff of Life, and then heads to Earth, as suggested by Steve when you reach the heart of the Galaxy at the "end" of Spore.

The Grox were a bunch of pussy bitches for me, I always got owned because I had to travel all the way back to the beginning to kill some bugs to save my planets from some eco-disaster. Eventually I just let them died and started raping and pillaging. Those terraforming tools aren't for terraforming I found out but instead to piss off every empire you find.
If the game were anything like the E3 vids, then it would have been the best game ever.
