People started taking it as a recreational thing in the late '50s (since it was new and legal) and then they quit their jobs and started become hippies because they realised how pointless life in society was. It was practically the downfall of society, a lot of people where against the government after realising how humane and ignorant they are. That's what I learnt from watching a documentary though, I wasn't there, so correct me if you wish.
Well, I suppose. You could always question with rhetoric, what is the point of being rich if doesn't really make you that happy and stuff.
A while back doctors in mental hospitals used LSD to understand their patients with schizophrenia more, because they don't really have any idea what they're going through, and it was thought that LSD recreated what they felt.
Wow, tripping with a schizo, sound's fucking awesome :monocle:
Hot damn I have bad OCD I should sign up for a test, probably pay me to do it too like a lot of studies. :D
derp
Weed isn't a hallucinogen.
Weed is a weak hallucinogen, taken in a large enough quantity with a high enough potency.
Weed is a very powerful hallucinogen if you eat a massive quantity. This is a good idea. More research needs to be done on hallucinogens. Like it or not, they're the only safe chemicals you can put into your body that temporarily alter brain chemistry, and we can learn a LOT about the brain and reality from studying these changes.
I thought weed was a kind of depressant, not a hallucinogen
Weed is a stimulant. It speed up heart rate and the central nervous system.
brb faking it
Yeah that's what I thought. There are ongoing studies on using drugs as antidepressants (with positive results).
What were they using before? Magic sticks?
