We did it Earth! Carbon emissions may have delayed the next ice age by 50,000 years

I want it to be warmer, but I think global warming sucks. I don't know what to want anymore
I wonder what kind of alternative foods we could switch to in the event of a shortage of traditional crops. Fungi? Insects? Processed pond scum?
It's ok, when it gets super hot you can all come and live here, since it's pretty cold here I'm guessing it would be quite comfortable.

Great if you like beaches, you'll be much closer to one in the coming decades.
Anthropogenic climate change is real - and fucking awesome! If anything we need to pump more of that shit into the atmosphere to see if we can end ice ages forever!
We are currently in one. In a warm phase of an ice age to be precise.
Isn't this a bad thing?
Now that it's 50,000 years before disaster, lower the fuel prices again god damn it
Aren't we on an edge of the hot phase of the climate? 50,000 years is a lot, but in a climate sense it's just a small ammount.

I'm not sure which user suggested insects as the potential answer to world hunger, as a sustainable option, but it sounded pretty great. But maybe too nasty for any serious consideration.

We'd have to get past that then. If it's between starving to death and eating deep-fried insects you know I'm picking the insects.
That said it's also a good time to look into "factory" farming.

There are only about 22000 active users on the forum. I think it would be fine as long as everyone didn't want socialbidrag.
I'd rather die [sp]in the "large portion of the human race dies" sense[/sp] to dropping temperatures and expanding ice caps than smog and chaotic weather patterns tbh. Ice ages were pretty mild most places anyways, while climate change is getting nasty everywhere.

A new ice age would kill just as many, if not more.
Disruptions include widespread crop failure, growing deserts, less freshwater, the dislocation of most settlements by the coasts, major rivers, Highlands, or cool areas. The impact would likely set off a chain of migrations to warmer areas and state collapse. Several civilizations collapsed due in part to the impact of mini ice ages and the return to the last recent glaciation would surely result in misery for all.
we did it 9gag

Yeah, but relying on your intelligence and technology when they can fail is shortsighted.
If anything, there should be a good middle ground of being smart and strong.
