Am i the only one who finds android easier to use than iOS?
Works on my i9000 and my i9100. Might I ask which device you have?
HTC Incredible 2. Didn't work for my father either and he has the G'zOne Commando.
You terrible at this aren't you. Also, this is the same Steve Ballmer who is determined to sell me Windows by shouting really fast at me? When shouting is your main method of communication then I question your sanity.
Heh, kinda reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMU0tzLwhbE
Yes, only mention the things that support my argument please.
So expressing my dislike of a device tailored for Facebook addicts=trying to hide evidence against a thread argument that I never really got involved with? Yah ok sure, whatever you say. Are you trolling or is this just how you typically post? [editline]20th October 2011[/editline]
HTC Incredible 2. I guess they removed the feature because my Galaxy S devices both have it, and I know the nexus S has it too.
my mom still hasn't figured her's out completely. I convinced her to switch to it from iPhone
I'm as smart as a computer scientist
I personally think the only issue with Android is that every device's stock UI is different, with Sense, Motoblur, etc. This can confuse people quite easily, from what I've seen.

He's right. I have a 2.2 600 MHz phone. My dad, for the past 5 years or so had a Rumor2. He recently bought a Galaxy S. I've been telling him how to use it, basic functions, for the past 3 days. I aced my phone in about 1 hour.
Android is really easy. Hold down on homescreen to change wallpapers or add widgets/shortcuts, press Market to download apps, and press a button to enable writing on a sd card.
ITT: Computer literate people convincing other computer literate people that computer illiterate people aren't as computer illiterate as the other computer literate people think they are

Swipe left and right to see pages of apps, and click the icon to launch them. So if someone can't even use a Galaxy S, they would probably struggle with any smartphone. Apple is even suing Samsung over some of these similarities with the old Touchwiz 3.0, so clearly it's more of a user fault and less of a UI fault.
ITT: Computer literate people convincing other computer literate people that computer illiterate people aren't as computer illiterate as the other computer literate people think they are
i know i'm terrible at reading computers
So if I applied for a computer scientist job at Microsoft and put "I use an Android phone" as my qualifications, would I get the job?
Everytime my iOS friends ask for my phone, they get stuck at the home screen, even though there's an icon with a home picture at the bottom.
Everytime my iOS friends ask for my phone, they get stuck at the home screen, even though there's an icon with a home picture at the bottom.
So that's why Apple didn't add a homescreen with widgets, it's too confusing for their userbase.

My father has a Galaxy Ace and he can use it well. What, it is not friggin hard? About an hour with messing around with it and you can use pmuch everything in it.
I don't see how people struggle to do basic shit as far as going onto the market for apps and using them. Android does, however, offer some more "advanced" features to more techy people. I think that's what Ballmer was trying to say. The Android platform itself to use is fucking easy. The features behind it can get fairly complex if you're interested enough to dig into it all. A lot of people are terrible with computers as well. Most can't even Google their problems.
Any cellphone is too complicated for me. I've never owned one. Whenever I need to call home for a ride and someone hands me a cellphone I stare at it like a caveman for 10 seconds before trying to dial. Reading below comment doesn't make me feel better :(
Take a look at this one then
My problem with android is that the stock rom (I have a samsung galaxy 1 and it's stock rom completely blows) usually is terrible. So you flash a new rom such as Cyanagen Mod and it'll have inherent issues (gps won't work) or the MIUI rom (battery issues, the screen won't shut off). As a consumer I'd much rather go to something with a simpler UI because I really don't care about insane customization. My next phone will either be an iphone or a windows phone.
